Since there wasn't an "other" choice, I had to go with #4.

I saw him in his prime with Journey and I saw him solo. If he wants to tour, I can scrape enough money together to be in line early. But it's not a requirement for me.

In my dreams, it would be #1, #2, or #8. But my brain tells me that ain't gonna happen.

I think #3 would be a good option. I like the idea of smaller clubs and more intimate settings. I just can't see him zipping around a stage like he did 30 years ago.

Realistically, I'm afraid I might have to be content with listening to my reissues.

Well, the poll said what I Wanted... so hell.... I went with 1. That's what I damn well want. But ya.... I know. #4 is more logical, yada yada yada. Screw it... I'm dreaming and I like it.

From a selfish point of view, I would dig hearing anything new from Perry. I grew up listening to Journey...seen them live with SP several times....there is absolutely nothing like it! Nothing! Okay, well Queen with Mercury.

Even if SP's voice is not the same, what difference does it make. His draw is how he delivers the song...if he hits some high notes, it just icing on the cake to me.

There's just something about how he holds a note....any note.

I sure hope he decides to give us all one more release.

What do I want from Steve Perry? My option isn't up there. I want him to come to my house and sing to me personally whilst I sip on margaritas lounging on a raft in the pool! Hey, why not? It could happen! 8) ( If your gonna dream, dream big!)

I would have to go with 'none of the above'

I'd take a new cd with minimal touring (hopefully NYC would be in there... )

Gotta admit, no offense to JSS, but I voted for a Perry/Journey reunion. However, I noticed that no one has voted for a Christmas record. I think an Xmas CD by a reunited Perry led Journey would be off the friggin charts! I get chills thinking about it. It's OK to dream...

A new cd is fine. What I really want to see is Steve rejoin the band for a few concerts. I think that would be the most he would care to do. Jeff and Deen can offer backup . All it would take is Perry to concent . The new fans would love it and the old fans treasure the memory.

Where's the option for: "Steve Perry should come out and play again. A duet with Shania Twain would be a nice start."..?

I'm intrigued that a lot of loons do not want to see him tour.

He did his time touring and he's already stated how burned out he gets. At this point we are just groveling for the music.

I just read a few remarks that other musicians have made when Perry's name is mentioned. One stated that Perry was lucky to be out of "that circus atmosphere" and another stated that he doesn't have to prove anything anymore. He reached the top and will stay there and is lucky to be enjoying his retirement.

Well, ya kinda can't have it BOTH ways then.

People can't say "He can do whatever he wants to do, he scaled the highest peaks already" AND say, "it will NEVER be Journey without Steve Perry."

I went with #9 he is giving us everything now let him enjoy his life. And for you info i do get out of the house i have a life just like the rest of you here. I am VERY pro Perry and that will never change for me. I don't feel he needs to tour he has been there and done that. Jutst let him live his life they way he sees fit.

I think the poll just shows, that people will settle for anything coming from Perry, after all this time...

...BUT I'm NOT.

The DUET. With Shania. NOW. Or I'll start singing.

They can SAY it but it won't make sense. "I KNOW he can still do it but I'm afraid of if he CAN'T so I don't want him to tour."

I know I'm going to get crucified for this...but I voted that I just want him to stay where he is...retired.

A few reasons...

#1, I think, quite possibly, his voice is lost. Proof positive of that is what he sounded like at the White Sox parade. Simply awful! Could he get it back? sure...but it requires work, like bringing back any muscle. The guy is nearing 60 years old...and one look at some of those beach pictures of Gov. Arnold will show that the older you get, the harder it is to keep the muscles up. So here's a guy that's been happily out of the game for over 10 years...approaching 60...is anyone going to tell me with a straight face that he's going to put in the required work to just get his voice back to something respectable that can hold up over the course of an album (and he's no sammy hagar, he takes his time in the studio)...or tour or both!? I doubt it.

#2 The more I think about it now, the less I actually *liked* what SP did with Journey in the later years. You can't deny there were magical moments, but TBF was jam packed with ballads (and some really sappy, make-me-want-to-take-a-groaning-shit ballads)...Even the direction that ROR wasn't exactly what I would like to hear from the band now...now...I loved FTLOSM...but I think what was missing on TBF, is the tension of Neal's playing aggression with the silkiness of Perry's voice.

#2.5 In combination with the above, I *like* the tension that JSS brings back to the table. Sure there'll be sappy songs, hey, it's Journey!! But at least there's the promise of some ass-kicking with JSS leading the pack. If Perry came back, the resulting album would contain 1-2 rock tracks and 8-9 ballads...Not a way to go out in my opinion.

#3 This is where I'm going to get crucified....if anyone suggests that Loon population is bad now...just wait until Perry records something or books a tour and goes "Hey, guys!!! I'm Baaaaack!!" It'll be so unbearable online, that the majority of loon hunters will want to slit their wrists in desperation!
