REAL ROR Poll, not some Slanted Euro Version

Postby Rockindeano » Sun Apr 08, 2007 5:26 am

Ok, since our European contributor obviously had a slanted view(she will never outsmart me no matter how hard she tries), or tried to sneak one by me, here is a properly worded poll.

Of the 7 Perry fronted studio CD's, please rank them with the following criteria:

1) Overall song structure
2) Best flowing CD
3) Biggest impact
4) Best songs overall

Please be honest. Kissing Lauras ass will not get you anything out of her and siding with me will not spare you the asskicking you will receive if you fuck up.

Please be honest here. No "I like em all!" BT shit either.

You need to write them down in order and I will tally them. This way, no one can side with either She or I.

Hahaha, outsmarted you fuckers again!

Well there's only ever going to be one Journey CD for me and that's ROR, I love it all, really love it. Infact if the hole was big enough in the centre of the CD I'd fuck it...I really would 8)

Journey is nothing, NOTHING without Stevie Augeri!

Ok, let's get serious, if I must...

Frontiers
Escape

stop right there....those two IMO will always be 1 and 2 but maybe in different order..

Departure
Infinity
Evolution

Listen... ..you are taking this so seriously,it's funny.I'll give you that. However,it's amazing how you spin things!

Your Poll is about completely ANOTHER thing than mine.I have made mine in strict reference to ROR,not to the entire Journey catalogue.LOL...come on!
We were arguing about the quality of that particular album and now you're trying to say I was wrong, bla, bla.

My #1 vote goes Escape.Nothing will top that masterpiece.
#2 - Infinity
#3 - Captured (it's an album isn't it? )
#4 - Frontiers
#5 - TBF
#5 - Evolution
#6 - ROR
#7 - Departure

For the record,I hate asskissing,I don't practice it and I don't need it.Also,I don't need people to "side" with me.This is about friggin' music, not WW3.

Breathe.

Um, Captured is not a studio album and you just proved my point, whether it be here or any other thread. You didn't even mention ROR! You said 80% of Journey fans put it at the top, yet you didn't even list it!

I'm trying to breathe but with alternate swigs of the beer and puffs of the cig, it's difficult. This is WW3, always is on a Saturday night. I agree with Deans list and yours, I love ya both and anyway you two know I know absolutely fuck all about Journey

FRONTIERS
Escape
Infinity
Evolution

Departure, TBF, ROR tie for "last" though there are good songs on each and GREAT songs on each.

I suppose technically you could call Captured a partial studio album, as there was some work done on it, to sweeten it up.

Fool, that wasnt a poll regards to our argument.

She said 80% of Journey fans would put ROR towards the top.

No FUCKING way. Her poll was all bullshit.

No FUCKING way. Her poll was all bullshit.

Her EXACT quote was: "I am guessing that at least half of the fanbase digs ROR.Maybe not in its entireity, but 80% of it for sure. The other half just don't appreciate the change and consider it too drastic."

She said that she was GUESSING that "half of the fanbase digs ROR." Moreover, that HALF of that fanbase may not like the WHOLE album but 80% of it. She premised her statement with the fact that she was guessing. You're saying "She said 80% of Journey fans would put ROR towards the top." THAT is bullshit because she did NOT say that. You clearly misread what she said. Fool.

Hoarse, craggy, burnt or however you may want to describe the way that Perry's voice matured, I honestly admire the albums from last to first. TBF working back.

My faves, in order:

Departure - I love the sound Journey had with Rolie, Rollie, um, Greg or is it Gregg?
Escape - Journey at the top of their game - excellent flow of songs.
Infinity
Evolution
Frontiers - not my fave by any stretch, but better than the last two
Trial By Fire
Raised On Radio - I liked it when it came out, but when I listen now most songs sound the same. It is like Perry was trying TOO hard to have a different sound than Journey.
