Ok, who to hate more here is the question.

Don Imus, that prick of an old man DJ, who once told Howard Stern to fuck off, then later had his ass kicked by Howard, recently referred to St.Johns women's basketball players as "Nappy Headed Ho's."

Of course, who to get all bent out of shape than the good ol Rev Al Sharpton and that hard working Jesse Jackson.

As a Democrat, I wish lightning would strike each one in the face.

Read it here.-

I watch Imus in the Morning. I heard him call those women those names. I thought it was horrible. But I think a lot of what he does is horrible. Nobody is safe from him. He even calls his wife the green ho. So why do I watch it? Because I like Charles and Bernie and Chris Carlin (who Imus pokes fun at all the time) He is relentless with Chris. I also like the guests he has on both political and musical. I hope Imus learns that talking like that is unacceptable and not funny. They think they can get away with anything on his show because he has all those millions of viewers and listeners. My husband tells me he will get by with it because money is the bottom line. That's probably true, but I don't like it. And as a Democrat myself I agree with you.

Imus may be the most boring talk show host on the face of the earth. Well, possibly second or tied with Larry King.

Agreed! he looks like they prop him up every morning with a pole and stick that hat on his head with a wig attached underneath. So much talent out there, he's a waste of space. :?

Well, people may or may not agree with Bill O'Reilly but I don't see how you can say that his show is boring, especially after last week's confrontation with Geraldo.

I hate Imus. He had Cheap Trick on his show recently and I was forced to sit through it because I love that band. Imus made it very painful to deal with.

I have the show on DVD. Seriously considering splicing out the Imus parts and keeping the Trick musical performances.

I *used* to like Imus.
Back in the late70's/early 80's. When he was fun, fresh and did silly stunts -- like telling everyone it was an hour later than it actually was. (Caused major chaos on the highways around NYC that morning!!)

Or when he ordered 800+ meals from a Burger King for a "troop of soldiers" stationed on L.I.

Now- he's just a crotchity old fart with no sense of humor at all. Can't stand him now.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, wine and chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "what a ride!"

Nothing is offending, when it brings you ratings and talk about you and your show. And unless I'm mistaken, it's happening now. Imus wins, either way. Ok, so he's "agreed" to go on Sharpton's show, but so what? What's gonna happen? He already pussed out and sorta appologized to the "brothas". What's the worst thing that can happen from that?

He's brought attention to some incredibly important and otherwise ignored issues, including autism and electoral fraud. However relevant he is, there is no excuse for saying something that ignorant on a national radio program.

I think Imus is looking more and more like Hasselhof with every passing year.

There's REALLY no such thing as a shock jock anymore. People have come to expect the un-expected. Some one on TV or radio says Ni**er.. and no one really flinches. Unless it's a white person saying it. It's ok for Blacks to say it to degrade each other though.

because "WE" repressed "his" people for "400" years, and it's time for paybacks.

Yes, people have actually said that shit. 400 years ya say? OK, how about "HIS" people who sold "HIS" people out, for the money that Slave owners paid for them...

That's a whole other thing though.

I know very little about Imus or Stern because I don't listen to any radio personalities other than my local morning show guys Dick and Dave. So this statement is the only one in this thread that I can identify with.

Ok Sherrie, you don't have to say it, I will.

Fuck the Black Community. Fuck the Black music awards. Fuck Miss Black USA. Fuck the United Negro College Fund. Fuck the Black Coaches association. Fuck all of them.

I am all for unity and the American way. Could you imagine the outrage if there was a Miss White USA?

There is a thing called reverse racism. Jess Jackson and Al Sharpton are fucking racists. These slack fucks protest everything. As long as there a black thing involved, they are protesting. Martin Luther King would be so embarrassed by these assholes.

I'm a strong advocate for a colourless America. However, these Blacks (listed above)want to play the race card at every turn.

Ya know what's "funny"? (if ya dont' agree, fuck you) Is when you see on the news that a "black" man was beaten by (black) police, and it's automatically a racist thing. UM, HELLO!?!?!?! It was BLACK cops that beat you, maybe it was a criminal thing. Rarely do you hear about a white person filing (or crying) Racist charges against the police for doing thier job. (even if it is a little excessive at times).

Know what is sad. Is what you said is in fact true, but on the flip side...there a lot of very good black people who get the wrath of certain scumdick whites and are discrimiinated and racially profiled.

I have seen good black candidates not get jobs because of being black...and I have been overlooked for a job because I wasn't black.

That's because people are trying to be politically correct, that shit wasnt' needed years ago. And all it's done is fuck things up now.

Yes, of course good black people are done wrong, too bad for that too. BUT, it lessens the effeect of actual bad things, when everyone cries wolf all the time about Racism.

I was gonna say..."Well when they kidnap, castrate, rape, enslave, your people from whatever country you come from or are going to in the bowels of a ship manacled to each other across the ocean for months then I think you have an argument in which you defend your views." but I won't cause you wouldn't get it and would probably resort to some more racist comments.

Colorless America! Not in your lifetime or the lifetime of your children. A racist act is a racist act. Violence is violence. I don't care what color the person is who might hit me in the mouth and I don't care what age I am when they do it, it still hurts the same. My argument is with the person who is spewing the vomit. I don't care what color the person might be. The awfulness of this is not that he's a man in the street smacking a little old lady in a wheelchair; this is a personality on the radio seen by millions of viewers. He's saying what he felt about the nappy headed hos. He's saying what people think. Next week he might go as far as talking about the red neck hillbilly living with his sister in the Appalachias who is also the mother of his children. Doesn't make Imus less of a fool; just makes you look ridiculous going to the newspaper to pick out an article where a black guy hits a woman in the mouth to prove his point that black women are nappy headed hos. What the fuck?? I'm sure if you keep looking you'll find more examples of the your colorless America. It might show us a little of your Colorless America.

Don't know about that.
As bad as he is, he is the life of that show. When he's not there, you can seriously hear crickets.

Not sure what the answer is. Firing him might be a bit harsh, and might not even be the best way to heal this crap. But how can they ever fire anyone over this stuff again if they don't fire him?
