Wonder how Neal & Co. feel about THIS

"Punk rock fans rarely have a better lineup these days than the one at Tasty World featuring the return of Guff to an Athens stage along with new mainstays The Dumps and Thunderchief (both of whose members all run through various punk bands of the past). The recent story on Guff is this: they got signed to Go Kart Records (as big a record label as you can get in the punk world and still maintain "cred") and went to L.A. to record their label debut.

In the process of recording, somehow Steve Perry (yes, that Steve Perry) heard them and asked them to cover a rare (unreleased?) Journey song called "I CanSee It In YourEyes" for inclusion on an upcoming Journey tribute album.

He produced the session for the song himself. So Guff is down with Journey. You can print that."

WHAT the....?

Nora,

Where have you been? Guff and Steve Perry have been all over the Perry sites since Guff recorded "I Can See It In Your Eyes". Neal and Jon, along with Perry, will get paid for this.

Also the song was a bonus track on the Japanese TBF cd. Now I believe it is on one of the reissues. :D

I just thought it was ODD that Steve would re-release a "punked-out" version of something he ORIGINALLY SANG - not only Producing, but PARTICIPATING....and sounding healthier than ever.

I'm sorry....but in Steve's original version with Journey, he sounds - to MY ears - like he's "looking at his watch", so to speak...wondering when the HELL the Studio session will be over.

Yet another one? I hope that having Steve's approval will mean it's worth listening to. I guess one way to look at it is that the more tribute albums, the more people must be coming to respect the music of Journey.

This is the interesting part.

I wonder if Perry is producing a Journey tribute album.

Ok, I have enough of this shit.

They remade an unreleased track...ooohhhh my God!

Neal doesn't give a shit about this and they might sell 674 copies. Gimme a fucking break.

Come on Nora, Perry's BG vox are barely heard. You fuckin Loons, yes ALL of you, are embarrassing the poor guy and ME too, since Ilike him as well. Maybe I should try to sicken all of you, and mention of how I get out my gf's doldo and jam myself to the sounds of Sonna Please?

Really, get a life for Shit's sake.

To answer your question Nora, Neal doesn't give a flying shit.

Change that avatar too. It's hockey playoff time. No one wants to see an up close picture of your face. You look like a 23 yr old Stockard Channing being held prisoner in a fuckin coal mine in West Virginia! Stick a fuckin NHL logo on there!

Dude, it's a hell of a lot better than most of the new crap. Ducks, even the Canucks went to that gay ass logo whatever it's supposed to be. They need to go to the ole skate logo. Yeah Deano, they have a gay ass logo!

Who the hell is Nick Brophy? Is he related to the Leafs old coach John Brophy?

Defensemen- "Ogel- thorpe."

Puck Boy- "He's not playin' he's suspended."

Paul Newman (Reggie Dunlop)- "That's Ogie!"

What happened to it? Did the girl that cheated on you give it to one of the guys she was gangbanging? Or did they just use it for cleanup?

So you traded the classic sweet looking gear for Molson crap. Nice going dude. Hey Dean do still got the NHL center ice or whatever? Do they broadcast every playoff game? I'll get to watch the Wings local and the VS station. Just wondering if I should invest in the package for the playoffs.
