Jeff - A Suggestion for May 12th

Postby Lady Luck » Wed Apr 18, 2007 3:45 am

I know this day is supposed to be a day of celebration, but given the events of yesterday, and the fact that this is taking place in VA, what would you guys think about doing some kind of tribute to VT? Nothing long, just maybe dedicating a song or something.

That would be something special...

"Only The Young", "Still They Ride", "We Will Meet Again", "Patiently"...

Heck, after further thought, scratch all these song suggestions.

In the middle of the set, let Neal and Friga bring everyone in the place to tears
with a resounding, instrumental rendition of "Amazing Grace".

I know JSS has a penchant for wearing local team Jersey's maybe we can get a VT Jersey to him (if he doesn't have one already)!

Jeff, and the rest of the guys for that matter, are class acts and I'm sure they will
come up with something special that evening.

Great idea.
I'd like to see Neal go back to doing Amazing Grace on a regular basis, as great as he does SSB, I thought AG was even better.

Yes!

I don't know how the stage set up is going to be or if this would even be possible being that it's outside, but if there's a screen behind the stage, flash the names of the victims during the song.

not that I have a Say so, or that I'm trying to be un-"American", but Amazing grace is a BEAUTIFUL song, and so much better than a song written during a war.
