Hope the Tweano's get equal blood supply from now on and hope the surgery did the trick.

There is a hole in the embrionic sack, caused by the laser. it usually closes back up on it's own, but sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't close back up, the sack(s) will burst and Lula will go into labour, and it's obviously too early for that. The babies would not make it. The other problem is the bigger of the two babies' heart is working so hard because he has too much blood to pump, has developed a hardened valve in his heart. Only time will tell if he will make it.

Damn Dean...I can't even begin to imagine how hard this is for you and Lula right now. :(

You made it through the first hurdle though, so just keep the faith!

Mushy Threads? I actually am liking this one.

Just got home about 30 mins ago. The surgery wasn't a success, it was a resounding success. Had the ultrasound this morning. Doctor sits down and says, "the only thing we need to see are two heartbeats." Boom, first thing we see, two heartbeats. However, the little guy who was having his supply line stolen from his bigger brother, is now peeing much more, substantially more. This means he is receiving his adequate blood supply. His bladder, unable to be seen yesterday, is substantially bigger. Everything has turned out perfectly.

I have to tell you people, from our perspective, you have no idea how important all of your words have meant to us. Seriously, this thread literally kept me in the game yesterday, as I didn't have a lot of dry eye time the past 2 days. This is the most emotional time I have ever experienced.

To everybody here, from Andrew to HOTS; regardless of our Journey brawls, I am so very thankful, as is Lula. This place is a genuine communtiy and we are glad to be a part of it. I do fear now, that I won't be able to slay or slaughter people anymore. I can't cuss HOTS out now...no way. I can't tell Moondog she is an illiterate donut muncher! No. I can say though, that if anyone here ever needed help, I would be amongst the first in line to offer to help.

From our hearts to yours, "Thank You."

Dean, from your posts in this thread I can easily see why everyone who's met you in person loves you so much.

So pleased to hear everything's turned out as hoped. I can't even begin to imagine what you've both been going through.

Bet this nice new Deano doesn't extend to Euros though!!

Love and best wishes to you both.

Great news dude! Just goes to show you that those two little guys are as feisty as you are. They are both fighters. September isn't that far off, and I hope the remaining couple of months are a whole lot less eventful for you guys than the last couple of days have been.
