It's amazing how threads on here get completely out of hand...I was making fun of the many people who complain about my jeans with holes, how 'not Journey' they are yet follow up pics were posted of Neal & Augeri wearing them at times....I post one of Perry wearing them just to show the silliness of it & it gets defensive! HOTS, I got no beef with you, you're entitled to your opinion & yes, we got off on the wrong foot, but if you're gonna sabotage a thread based simply to be negative, this is why I am defensive.

And no, I don't just come on here to be defensive, the ones who complain of this only seem to read the posts I am defending myself....I never go for the jugular towards ANYONE unless they become unreasonable after attempts on being civil about their or my opinions. It doesn't matter if I am the singer of Journey, the Prince of Wales or Joe Schmoe, if pushed enough, the boiling point does get activated...I don't find status of any kind a reason to not defend oneself when necessary, I could see most of you on this board not changing a thing about you given my circumstance.

Lastly, the others don't post here because they simply don't spend much time on the internet at all. You might remember Neal posting back in the day until he got so annoyed & even abusive towards negative posts, he simply walked away from it. Difference here is I am a regular internet user, love reading the good with the bad as it only keeps me connected with the 'truth' on how people feel &/or reacting & more importantly, makes me happy to keep my status as a fan, if that makes me 'look bad', oh well, it is what it is!

Now I'm going to bed, Lakers lost, as I knew they would, I think the excitement was more that I actually found an American Sports Bar that was showing the game & felt like I was home for 2 hours....I'll be back there at the bar for Game 2 on Tue!

This is wrong on so many levels HOTS. Your track record with Jeff is widely known. I read the post where you were called a dickhead, and it was a fair response. You like to call them as you see them, well he did the same in that instance. There's only so much criticism a person can take until they blow a gasket. And you and a few others in my opinion try to do just that. I don't know why you want to run Jeff off, but for crying out loud, you are going to ruin it for the rest of us. The vast majority of the membership here appreciates his posting. But there are always a few that ruin it for everyone else. You don't want to be that do you? Or do you? I have only been to one Journey concert since Perry left. One was enough ! Now I can attend again. You are a real musician and singer as far as I am concerned. I say bullshit to that. Jeff has gone out of his way to be friendly and open to the fanbase. I know from experience that he is very personable and has a great self-deprecating humor when it is appropriate. Everyone needs to decide what they want: a figure who stands up on stage and performs on a nightly basis but has no true 'connection' to the fans, or someone who is just like us, that has a genuine love for the music and legacy of Journey, and enjoys talking about it.
