Easy... it's even earth friendly.

Bill get's blow job, wipe his pee pee on her dress, saves trees from being felled for use as paper products. DUH!

So before we start name calling parties it would probably be good to look at the history. I guess what I'm getting at is if you follow this back to when earth day first was recognized you have Nixon to thank for it.

epa.gov/earthday/history if you want to look for yourselves.

And for the record, I've stated more than once that I don't care for either party. I'd rather have people that speak the truth than just spewing their party line garbage of hate about the other party.

I agree with treetop - it is wrong to judge an entire group of people -

However, please note that according to the site to which you refer -the EPA was created AFTER the first Earth Day when millions of demonstrators marched on Washington - many of them walked the entire way.

Sorry, I still cannot thank Nixon.

I'm reading a book right now called "Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder" by Richard Louv. If you are a parent/grandparent, I highly recommend this book. It has been a great kick in the ass for me when it comes to giving my child opportunities to interact with the natural world. The only way the Earth is going to be saved is if we get our kids to really care about it. Kids can only do that if they get OUT THERE and experience nature first hand. My daughter and I went for a walk through a local forest preserve yesterday (not because it was Earth Day, but because it was a nice day for a walk). She was mad because I wouldn't let her take her Nintendo DS in the car with her. I thought she could last on the 10-minute drive without the stimulation. As it turned out, she had a blast (and so did I). She didn't even think about the Nintendo on the drive home, because she was too busy yapping away about food chains, the woodpecker we saw, and the bald eagle that was in captivity at the nature center (it was injured). The bottom line for me is that if I want my kid to care about the environment, she has to get out there and experience it.

I agree, esp. when the fire threat is high like it is here in FL right now. I hate to see people throw anything out a car window...oh & seeing someone spit out of a car window is just lovely too

Happy Earth Day! I love trees & would live in one if I could (well, maybe one day I will when I go batty)...it is so important for our environment to stay green. I feel sick every time I see another tree & empty lot bulldozed down to build & cram a bunch of condos or big homes out here. If it weren't for my husband & his job I'd be out of here...I need & crave open spaces with nature around me...these buildings are freaking me out.

Anyway, save the planet...don't litter...recycle EVERYTHING, donate & buy from the thrift stores & forget buying so many new things...I am addicted to thrift stores - so many great things in those places - recently found some antique dining chairs for $10 each - yep, I got a lot of projects to re-do.

Am I batty yet? :)

I know it's kind of hard to tell if it was in jest w/o audio, but by this I don't see the attempt at humor.

Singer SHERYL CROW wants global restrictions on using toilet paper in an attempt to save the environment. The star, who is touring American colleges to raise awareness about global warming, has told students to only use "one square per restroom visit". She says, "I have spent the better part of this tour trying to come up with easy ways for us all to become a part of the solution to global warming. Although my ideas are in the earliest stages of development, they are, in my mind, worth investigating. "I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting." The tour ended on Sunday at the George Washington University in Washington DC, where Crow performed with Tim MCGraw, Faith Hill and Carole King.

Glenn Beck talked about this today and gave the quote in context. It was also said in conjunction with a joke that her brother made about washing off the toilet paper after using it. She was joking.

I didn't know up until last week that discarded cigarette stubs come in useful for birds, they strip the paper off and use the filter to layer their nests, so I for one am contributing to the environment by ensuring birds have a good warm nest, eat fruit and shit the seeds out to add further growth....smokin' has its good points
Mind you a Black Bird in the back yard last week had a bad attitude, he threw an empty bottle of beer in the garden, now what the fuck am I suppose to do with that, the little fucker didn't even leave it half empty :x ......come to think of it, that fucker found one of my hidden beer bottles, poison in the bird seed tomorrow 8)

I'm no huge fan of hers either but yes, she was absolutely joking. I wonder if Rush Limbaugh was joking when he said the kid the shot up VT must have been a Liberal. I'd say that's a little more serious than how many squares of TP someone uses.

He said that using the same logic Bill Clinton must have used when Clinton said Rush was responsible for Timothy McVeigh's actions in the Oklahoma City bombings! Cho did give some hate speech about the rich. If that's not liberal then what is? Besides you're not liberal remember

True enough, but I was thinking of those smokers who are so anal about (gasp!!! ) smoke that they hold the thing outside the window the entire time it's aflame....

Take for example the one degenerate I saw over the winter. About a 16 degree day, and she (of course  ) HAS to have it all ways. The window is cracked open 1/2 inch at the top and the tip of the thing is out the window, every few seconds it goes in and she takes a pull then right back to the tip being stuck out. Meanwhile she's "driving" (cringe) with her thighs and the right hand is used to put on makeup in the rv mirror, eat a bowl of cereal, and read a novel. Oh and the cellphone's tucked in the crook of her neck.
All while holding that smoke out the 1/2 inch crack at the top of the window left-handed.

You like to smoke, but don't like smoke SO much so that you're willing to attempt (accent on that) to set a world record for multi-tasking on a 16-degree-day to keep the shit out of your precious SUV that, by the way, you can't operate safely ANYway.
