The Starbucks ad was on Nat'l tv all the time, what'd they do to capitalize on that exposure?
Lost or fired Jamison and didn't release the record in the US.

I just really hope Frankie makes good on all the promises this time. I see ZERO chance of a new album coming out this year, but it should NOT be out of the question for us to be able to buy it on these shores in 2008.

Slander, I am sure that FS and Band did not seek out DWTS. Kelly Monico danced to that song last season and that is the only reason Survivor was a part of that show. FS is not PROACTIVE at all, hell I can't even say he is REACTIVE.

Not ENTIRELY true, Lark.

When you're listed as "plaintiff" on 4-5 different lawsuits against various individuals and entities, there's SOME proactivity there.

Keep the negativity coming. You two are the hardest working contributors to the board. Frankie is indeed the anti-christ. Damn! The apocalypse is coming. Damn why do you guys continue to waste your energy on bashing the guy. Fine you think he is a lazy piece of ****. We get it.

Red I love your sense of humor. I also miss 7. He use to wax poetic all over my Frankie loving ***. I want to draft Frankie for President in 2008. FRANKIE2008...THE SEARCH IS OVER! That sounds like a winnnig slogan. Yes I am officially losing my mind.

you know...Red..you are being bad...when you think of it, there is no reason that they could not have an album this year...I mean there are 10-12 songs on FMS that Frankie didn't remake on Reach...also, in case McAuley has voice problems on this elaborate tour, they should have Kevin DeBrow waiting in the wings as a backup....

Survivor has a new band note. It's a sad one. Why don't you lay off Frankie today. Let's try to be decent for a day. What is Frankie? A human pinata?

he's a tad less active than a pinata...

no really, I wasn't saying anything...all i asked was if anyone knew what the hell that note was talking about...i got all excited...went back the next day...NOTHING, the next day...NOTHING...

I don't know how asking a single question can be taken so badly...he's the one that posted it...

This was just posted on Survivor's Website

4/25/07 - Goodbye My Friend…

I received a telephone call today informing me that our friend and engineer Phil Bonanno passed away last evening. I am in shock. As you all know I lived with Phil for nearly two years in Los Angeles as we prepared and then recorded “Reach.” Phil was a huge part of every Survivor Record and a friend I will miss forever.

We ask you all pray for Phil and his family during this most difficult time. We will all miss him dearly.

Frankie

Now, Survivor playin' in Germany 2007, just nearby where I live ... How would I love to hear that news if Jimi was still the lead singer. But with Robin McAuley its not the same at all. So I will definetly not go there. Thats not Survivor as it should and as it could be.
(Its just almost the same as The Doors played over here last year with the Ex-Lead singer of the Cult, Not interesting for me, sorry) :?

Hmmm. You are going here. Jimi isn't original Survivor. Your argument doesn't hold water but I do respect your opinion. Sort of.

Slander, to some people, Jimi IS Survivor, to others, such as yourself, he is not. It is all about when you first started listening to the band. I came to know the band during the Jimi days, doesn't mean I don't love the original version of EOTT but I love to here Jimi sing. Jimi has a great voice that is changing with age as it does with everyone not just singers. After Jimi left so did a lot of fans, now we have Robin, who is a great guy and brings his own fan base to the band, a new and different group of people, to those people, Robin is Survivor and so on and so on. It doesn't matter to most of us who the original group. It only matters if it means something to you, as for me, it doesn't. FS wanted a "named" singer to replace Jimi when he quit. FS has experience as he has gone thru this so many times before, looking for singers that is. As always, I respect your opinion.

Thank you Lark. I respect yours as well. I was just merely pointing out that one singer doesn't have claim to Survivor. It's a shame all of can't appreciate all of the singers. I even respect Peterik's singing on the first record! LOL

I agree with you, they play six hours away from me, I´m not sure if I will go, if it would have been Dave or Jimi on vocals I would absolutely go but I´m not sure now. It´s more tempting to go and see The Worlds Stage in Belgium with Peterik and Jamison.

Silver, here, here! I agree. I think poo-pooing the line up without hearing it live is pretty lame.

I think your right, this is a very good opportunity, this may be the last time they tour in Europe, you never know, so I think I will go and see them :D.
I Actually think Robin is quiet good, I love the MSG albums, but I just don´t think he is right for Survivor.

Nice pictures Silvergirl :)

Even if Andrew also posted on his site that Survivor will come to Germany some of the dates are colliding with the "official" announced dates in the states (from Bochum/Germany on august 23. to Corn Palace Festival - Mitchell, SD on august 24. won´t be easy to do)
