I say screw a label. I think they should do it all themselves and sell it to Walmart and Target. Promote it on TV and radio.

why give into such big business? music is up to the individual. so what you are sayin, is that its all about the money. yes, i realize someone has to pay the bills.

I just used Walmart and Target as an example, they can retail the album wherever, like itunes. My point is to eliminate the other hand in the pot. The label. In this day and age, I don't see the relevance of a label.

I think you're right on this Shoot. They need a retail outlet for people who don't download music and Target or Walmart would be perfect. I think what REO Speedwagon did with Walmart is brilliant. Sure do the iTunes and other internet stuff too, but they need a retail outlet that's committed to promotional displays and such. More people pass through a Walmart or Target than any of the few remaining music only stores. Hell, now that I think about it, Best Buy would be a gold mine if they could hook up with them.

I don't care who takes the helm on the next release as long as it sounds better than Arrival and Generations. The sound quality on both those albums was fucking terrible. Good songs on both but the audio quality was shit, IMO.
