Like that question about him going up and performing a couple songs at a Bon Jovi concert! Gawd would that have been very cool to see those 2 on the same stage! Have the audio, but too bad nobody ever got that on video. :( Damnnnn!

deb, i immediately thought of you when i read that part of the interview. :) i happened to be at that show, but didn't know steve was going to show up. it was sooo fun to be surprised like that!

That man can go on surprising people all he wants! :D Damn Cyndy! That must have been some show......to see those 2 singing Sam Cooke's 'Bring It On Home To Me'!!!! Recently got tickets to Bon Jovi's upcoming July 11th show, it's been 17 years since they've been here. So Deb's a happy camper! :D LOL, just don't play more than one country song though!

Deb, quick question - how much were your BJ tickets?
They are doing a show in the UK and ticketmaster are asking £410 per ticket!!!!Thats $810!!!!
That is front row and they are filming the show for a DVD - but ....

WOW Susie, I thought $160 per ticket were pricey, yikes $810??? Mine aren't first row or anything, they sold out the Dome in about 20 minutes, so I'm lucky we even got tickets. As much as I luv Bon Jovi, there is only one performer I'd ever pay that kind of money to see live! Good to hear there is a DVD on the way though. :D

The UK is pricey for everything. It's a bloody nightmare.

You mean that nasal-ee thing he does nowadays is from tape? They should give JBJ the boot and let Sambora sing.
A blog on these guys would get much mainstream attention.

Go for it. I don't care enough to correct their band. My passion was and is Journey. It was something I was possessed to do. It wasn't pretty and it was at times ugly, but I will walk in life from now til death, knowing I affected and was mostly responsible for changing Journey history. Someone had to do it. Might as well be a fan.

Have to say, I'm not impressed at all with their new single (Make a Memory) from their upcoming June CD. What are they thinking, it's not rock, it's not country......it's just a very draggy song.

Dean, I'll keep an eagle eye on those 'lips' in July, and let ya know if JBJ is lippin!

No. it's affected, when I used the word as an adjective in the past tense.

Examples.

New Orleans citizens were affected by hurricane katrina.

The effected citizens displaced due to hurricane Katrina was huge.

I am right on this.

Both spellings of the word are verbs.

One, "affected" means "had an influence on."

the other, "effected" means "made it happen" which I thought was your stance.

Great post Deano, I never thought about the lyrics that way. I listen to the melodies and the instruments first.I know im shallow. Great insight. I feel you did help make a change for Journey. You exposed the truth.I liked how things were until I learned what was really going on. I still feel wierd about everything, at least I know what went on.Be Good To Yourself and Lulu.

I came to the conclusion, that this is Steve Perry's departure song, his warning, about him leaving music and more importantly, Journey.

Ok, now we all know that SP was getting tired of being lead singer for one of the biggest bands in the world in 1986. This song undoubtedly tells of the story of Perry's uneasiness and the infighting between Perry, Schonny and Friga.

Runnin out of self control
Gettin close to an overload

Ok. We get it, you're saying that you were getting really tired of this business.

Up against a no win situation

Infighting?

I'm hangin' up my boxing gloves
gettin ready for a long vacation

Well, it does make sense. He did basically quit Journey, halfway through the ROR tour.

Be Good to Yourself, when nobody else will
You're walkin' a high wire
caught in a crossfire

Sounds like he is saying "poor me" I can't stand all this criticism from everyone

When you can't give no more

His voice going out, going away? Sure as Hell sounds like it

They want it all, but you gotta say no

Did Herbie and promoters want too much? Too many dates? Did Neal and Jon want to tour too much?

I'm turnin' off the noise that makes me crazy

Perry is saying, in coded words, I am about to leave...leave all of you

Looking back with no regrets

Yeah, I wouldn't have regrets either if I sold 40 million records.

I want a little piece of mind to turn to

Retirement, off the road, San Diego way....I get it now.

Jesus Fuckin Christ you are BORING. Could you please shorten this SHIT to 3 lines or less so that I don't have a fuckin seizure!

DAMN! The next thing you're going to say is that Wheel In The Sky is about God or some stupid shit.

SHIT! Shut the fuck up with this weird ass bullshit.

It's just a fuckin song you fat fuckin freakazoid!

I already have researched that to death.

Oswald WAS a patsy.
Ruby was a pissed of Republican with an attitude problem.
The Republicans needed a way to get JFK out of office.
The Military killed him.
The Government covered it up.
Warren Justice can rot in Hell.

That sums it up.

I always thought that the gov't had Oswald snuffed because there was enough doubt as to the single shooter that he could get off at trial. That alone would have sent the country into total chaos.

Wow, the way I remember it is that the Kennedy brothers were stepping on Mafia toes. Bobby was attorney general and going after them. Marilyn got it too for just being in the picture.Jack Ruby and Oswald were tools of the mafia. The mafia was powerful back then. Ask J Edgar.

I've read it, too. It's complete bullshit. Top scientists from around the world debunked EVERYTHING in regards to the Pentagon allegations as well as the "controlled" demolition nonsense. I guess the 93 attack and those all around the world are hoaxes too. Some people just can't face the fact that there is a faction of crazy asshole, sand-niggers that want us dead. They've wanted us dead for a LONG time. They've just now acquired the potentail means

I've read a lot of the conspiracy stuff for 9/11. I tend to agree that there are some crazy MF's out there who want to kill us. It is interesting to me, however, that the conspiracy theorists have so much "evidence".
