Same thing happened to me....I stopped by a friend's house yesterday and her 18 year old son 'stole' my CD out of my car!!![]()
He heard it when I pulled up and liked it so he decided to 'borrow' it and not give it back! I had to come home and burn myself another copy! I stopped back by there today and he said he has been turning all his friends on to it and they loved it as well!![]()
I can't stop listening to it either and the tunes are stuck in my brain!!![]()
I'm not into the rap as much as I am into the diversity of this recording. If it was just Jeff rappin', I would probably say, "okay that was cool" then move on, but if you really give it a fair chance and listen to it a few times, you will see the artistry in it and hear other things going on that are just brilliant! At least from the artistic stand point. I tend to pick things apart and listen for the subtleties in a recording. I guess that comes from being in the recording studio and training your ear to hear every track independently. There is so much more to this recording than just rap. You have melody, harmonies, acoustic guitar passages, killer lead guitar, kick ass bass drums, digital samples, interesting lyrics...you name it, it's in there! Just layers and layers of 'good stuff' waiting to be uncovered. If it's not your cup of tea, so be it. I happen to like Linkin Park so RedList is something I can listen too without cringing!
BRILLIANT J!!
