Just wondering what some of your songs are that take you way back or just songs/bands that you rocked out to years ago......youtube them if they are there. :)

Ok, this is going to sound beyond gay.

Silly Love Songs by Paul McCartney and Wings and 65 Love Affair by Paul Davis I think. Reminds me of going to see the Orioles at old Memorial Stadium in the 70's and 80's on a Saturday afternoon. Those songs seemed to be played constantly in between innings. Good memories.

I was in 7th grade when this song came out and it started my craze to get good music.

I saw him about 16 years ago. He is incredible live! One of the very few I've ever seen who sounds live just like he sounds recorded.

I have to comment on this... I agree with you about ol' Pete. I processed asbestos claims for several years - he was one of our biggest "contributors". He IS the devil.

As for songs that take me back... Anything from the 80s, especially if I haven't heard it in awhile. It is an immediate flashback to whatever was going on in my life at the time. Great topic.

I hear ya M about the 80s. A friend of mine laughed her ass off when this song/video came out a couple years back and asked if I'd seen it.

This is the song that really GOT me into music and collect it, not just listen to it. I also became a huge VH fan because of it and, though it's from the Hagar era, I ended up being a slightly bigger fan of the Roth era.

I saw them in 83 or 84 at the Dallas Convention Center and had a pretty good time. I remember MG on stage saying that April Wine was against any form of illegal drugs. I was laughing because the place was reeking of pot. Back in those days, you could be puffing on a joint and pass it around and there would be a cop 10 feet away. They just didn't care. Good times. not really a fan of Youtube, but if someone wants to look them up, "Beau Coup - Somewhere, out in the night" & "GTR - When the heart rules the mind", plus as a bonus - "Orion Hunter - So you ran".

Lots of great links. Dreams is one my fave VH tunes, too. The Blue Angels video is awesome - as long as I've had a dramimine. ;) I know this is WAAY OT, but one country singer (can't remember his name) had that song out "1970-something" - that's one that'll take you back, too.

Inxs is DEFINITELY one that takes me back. RIP-MH

This one brings me back to '74 - a friend introduced it to me & we played it A LOT sitting on the floor of her room, along with James Taylor & the Beatles. Thanks for reminding me about it. :)
