I can tell you unequivocally, that present day Journey uses NO Backing vocals whatsoever. None.

Didn't they use a trigger for the intro vocal to Message Of Love on the tour? Just curious...thought I heard it on youtube!?

Nuff said, though. The bad joke has run it's course and I won't mention it again.

Ever had a moment when you felt about 2" tall???

Nice job, Hack. Way to alienate Journey's frontman. Lucky if he ever shows up again here now :D

I'm guessing double KO ala the ending freeze frame of Rocky III, Hack going with the looping right, JSS rolling with the straight right, both guys go on the blink. We're out a singer again for a little while.

JSS wrote:It's a new era in entertainment, the business evolves & changes, sometimes good sometimes shit, depends on the individual. Us older folks don't always see eye to eye with youth grasps onto but think back when even Journey were a 'youth' oriented band, the house full of 16 year old girls who are now still following the band, posting here & not 16 anymore :) Sometimes what is your shit is someone else's gold, there's room for all the gold & shit, but bottom line is if this show pays respect to a band like Journey, that can only be beneficial to the band, past & present, as well as the preservation of the music/songs not to mention the longevity of it's influence....chew on that one Ed :)

I agree. As much as I'd like to see Perry up there, it is almost certain that it wont happen. That being said, I was actually referring to next years show. I think people would be floored to realize that Journey is still "alive" and better than ever...plus all the advertisement for Journey and their new and upcoming album. What a perfect opportunity to present that!

My initial question was a technical one, I was curious as to how that would work if it could.

I'm pulling for YOUR Journey, Jeff!
Dont make me stick my pitchfork up your ass!

Well, now there are about 6 classic Jovi songs in the top 100 on Itunes. So, no matter what you think about AI it is a force in the music biz.

I personally would love to see Journey on the show, but gawd would those kids butcher the songs...thems aint easy tunes to sing!

I expected Bon Jovi to come out and kick some ass not put me to sleep. They did sound good but as Simon would have said: "I don't think it's the right song choice for you".

That squealing dude was Robin Thicke. He is Allan Thicke's son. You know, the dad from that TV show "Growing Pains". I think he had his son castrated when he was circumcised! That was annoying.

I don't know what was worse, that falsetto-singing, Justin T-wannabe or Bon Jovi.
I know they have a new album coming out and all, but for fuck's sake!
You mentored these kids and told them how it should be done...
Bon Jovi should've came out rockin' with guns blazin'!
