AI talent is gone

It seems to me that the two best singers are no longer there as of tonight. Is America tone deaf ? Can they hear distinctive voices? This yr I only had to endure 2 shows.

The problem with these kind of shows now after x-amount of series (seasons for you Yanks), is the viewing public; who are largely made up of teenage girls and their mums (moms).

They tend to vote on who they fancy the most or their personality rather than singing ability; hence you get shows where anyone with 1/2 a brain cell knows the person who gets voted off should never have went with 1 or more worse performers remaining in the show in front of them.

You'd have to first assume AI had talent to conclude AI talent is gone.

I agree. That is why I responded "Randy Jackson quit?" in reference to all of the talent being gone on AI.

This season on AI was awful compared to the talent of last season...thats why i didn't watch this year. I catch stuff on the news or on ET and all except Doolittle have no talent at all...just look at Chris Daughtry, carrie underwood and Elliot Yamin and a few others...hopefukly next season will be better and then maybe I'll watch again...I get a kick out of the judges...what a hoot!!!!

Carol- I thought Ace was really good. He did Dream on on You Tube and he did an acceptable job. I can't remember anyone even trying Steven Tyler on that song. I think he is out with Chris Daugherty.

Saint John-You know I meant contestants. Judges??? Randy = music .Look at the musicians he played with over the years. Paula =cheerleading and dancing more than any significant music and then Simon. He owns the show and creates controversy to get the brain cell challenged to watch in order to sell commercials. HE IS MR CONFLICT OF INTEREST !!! Is he about finding real musical talent or lining his pockets with revenue? Fortunately, real music people have given many AI losers legitimate careers.Next year I only plan to watch my 2 weeks at the end.

It was said in jest, insinuating that there is NO talent as far as contestants go (that Jackson is the only talented person there, period).

I was shocked that he was voted off. He kicked ass on "Blaze of Glory." To me, he was the best of the night.

Sad, but true. A couple seasons ago, I thought Bo Bice could have won it, but he was voted off early because people would rather have another pop/country singer than a rocker.

Phil was the most talented of the male singers this year but he couldn't hold a candle to even Elliot Yamin. Plus, he looked exactly like Bat Boy!

Blake deserved to stay for that kick ass take on "You Give Love A Bad Name," though I don't think it would appeal to BJ's typical fans, I thought it was an extremely creative take on the song.

Lakeisha had the best vocal performance of the night, though I am normally behind Melinda/Yoda. Either one of them could feasibly take the title, though I was certain Chris and Jordin were going home last night.

Was that a new song BJ performed? They could've blown the roof off the place with "Lay Your Hands On Me" or HAND, but they had to play that snooze fest.

Oh well...at least the view was nice. :D

I thought that Chris and Jordin would go also. I think that Stacy has been in the bottom three a few times tho.

I think that performance for the next few weeks is going to be crucial because the remaining contestants are the cream of the crop thus far. My pick is still Melinda as she can rock whereas Lakisha is too gospel. Jordin is great but not consistent. JMHO!

The winner will be either:

A) Melinda, since she is the best singer/performer left.

B) Jordin because she is the youngest and most marketable.

I'm glad Phil is gone. I was tired of looking at his pointy ears. I'm shallow and couldn't get past his looks to really *hear* his voice.

Perry's hot. Phil...not so much. Maybe if I'd heard Phil and liked his voice before I saw what he looked like it would've helped.

Gee, thanks. :?

Taylor Hicks album is tanking big time, which makes me think they want the opposite - Jordin will win. But Melinda deserves it.
