The show that Jimi played last August was posted on the Survivormusic.com website as a Survivor appearance. Survivor cancelled the gig at almost the last minute in order to make it from one side of the country to Blue Ash, OH to do the Taste of Blue Ash, so give the Jimi group some credit because they probably had two seconds to get it together. BTW the last Survivor show I saw, one of the band was shouting out the next song coming up to MD. Go figure.

Than Jamo should have declined. It sucked. Sorry. Listen I like Jamo a lot. Jimi is a great guy. Having said that, it was the worst show I have ever attended.

AbsoFUCKINGlutely.

How ironic is it that the guy to show up with no notice and put on the show Survivor was SUPPOSED to put on but cancelled with no explanation was JJ?

He helped them save face that night and Slander bashes away at him for it.

Gee your response is such a shock. Even our beloved Andrew agrees with me on this one. The song has by far that signature Survivor sound. Catchy chorus and searing guitar. Jimi has no credibility when it comes to calling things too pop! My god he sings I'M ALWAYS HERE. Enough said.

Great for you and Andrew and TBL, I personally don't like it and especially don't like the vocals. Sounds Donnie and Marie to me. Just my opinion.

Guy then rip the vocals, don't rip it for being too pop. The it's too pop is bullshit.

Is Lark one of Jamo's relatives? Just curious. If you are, I'm not trying to offend. I just will not tolerate the Frankie bashing. It will not go unchecked. It's that simple. So vent all you want and you will always get a response.

Who knows. Maybe Survivor got a bigger gig than Lewsiton, ID. Jimi should have not have played the venue. The idiots at the event wouldn't have known the difference. I was there.

Frankie bashing? I just don't like the song, simple as that, however, as far as being a relative, all of us "hillbillies" are related, didn't you know that.

Oh so it's OK to just pull a complete no-show?

They're damn lucky Jamo took their spot. As it was that crowd prolly thought it was Survivor more so than they would've if Survivor had bother to honor the contract and show.

I don't like the fact that he is lip service and no action. I also don't like the fact the he continues to say "when we made the decision to replace Jamison", first of all, Jamison QUIT and there is no WE in Survivor it is all FS. Last year on the web site he was going on and on about the chance to work with Azoff yet how long did that last, two seconds? He has filed more lawsuits that believable and is still doing so. And last but not least, I have been waiting to be blown away and it has yet to happen. So, no I am not a fan of the man. I am a fan of the music.

I doubt that. Unless the crowd thought Jim Peterik was African-American! LOL. The band looked nothing like Survivor. And they certainly sounded like shite. The lead guitarist looked like a homeless person.

They did make a decision to replace Jamison. There is nothing wrong with that statement.

Yes, Slander, you are correct, they, as in FS and FS only, made the decision after Jimi QUIT.

Where's the argument here? Frankie had to make a decision on a lead singer after Jamison quit. I guess I'm lost. How is this a slam against Jamison?

Well, I must be a little slow, along with so many others. Even on Jimi's myspace page Jimi took it as a direct insult from FS. So it isn't just me that thinks it's tacky.

Answer the question Lark. Did Frankie make a decision on replacing Jamison? The answer is yes. How is that an insult? How is that tacky? He had to make a decision on a new singer. That singer was replacing Jimi. Damn you Jamo's are touchy folk.

Yes, Slander, you are so right, he did make a decision to replace him, yes, he did make a decision to get a new singer, however, your boy FS would have a believe that he was calling the shots when in fact, he was not, he made the decision out of necessitiy, because the lead singer QUIT. He broke his neck to announce that Jimi Jamison was replaced as the lead singer of Survivor before Jimi's camp could come out and say he QUIT. But since you want to be technical about this issue, yes you are correct, he did make a decision to replace Jimi and in your eyes, it doesn't matter if he was forced to make that decision or not, he made the decision. Now, does that make you feel better. You pick the strangest issues to get into a pissin' match over.

I'm not getting in a pissing match. You brought it up. If Jimi got his nose out of joint that's his problem. The fact is that Frankie had to replace him. Why is that a slight? I still don't get it. We all knew Jimi quit. I never took it as he was fired. I don't blame Survivor for announcing a new lead singer immediately. It beats that stupid interview Jimi gave Andrew.

Let me know when you bestow the accolades on Frankie that I have done on Jimi. You guys are hypocrites. It's unfortunate we can't celebrate this great band without dissing anybody.

BTW, still glad I DO have REACH on cd despite the fact I begged, borrowed and stole to get it.

Think I WILL celebrate the band, Slander, by spinning it twice tommorrow. Once going to and once coming home from work.

I have talked to Jimi personally about this a few days after he'd left. He told me the ONLY reason he left is because he wasn't being payed enough and got tired of being cheated.

BTW: Relax and have an apple

and for those who think FS is out of songs to write.. maybe YOU should buy him a copy of JP's book.
