OT: Favorite Comedians?

Postby fredinator » Sun May 06, 2007 4:41 pm

Okay, this might go over like a lead balloon, but: who are your favorite comedians and do you have a YouTube or whatever clip of them? I thought this guy was just hilarious, but I could only find this one clip:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YEsnBwgP0A

I don't know who Anita Morris was but she was pretty beautiful... There was another guy and I think his last name was Winters--I cannot think of his name right now, dang it! SJ, I bet you know? Anyway, I thought he was funny, too. Lots of them used to come on Johnny Carson's show...

What about you all?

The one and only,

Sam Kinison.

Breaking All the Rules. Simply Genius.

Part 1
http://youtube.com/watch?v=LoWbKoQjwp8& ... ed&search=

Part 2-Truth, lies and Marriage
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Lu8L3PKj-dU& ... ed&search=

He talks about Christians and Christ here. You have been warned but I bet you that you laugh your fucking ass off. The greatest comedy skit from about 3 minute mark on.

Part 3
http://youtube.com/watch?v=TOl-hU7VekU

Part 4- continuing...
http://youtube.com/watch?v=WY1kTcprzcY& ... ed&search=

I have gotten and still do get a lot of inspiration from this guy. He definitely rubbed off on me. There was none better.

Anyone who doesn't die laughing at these two guys is clinically insane.

You don't say? I suppose you really liked this video when it first came out? I hated the video, but it did have some of my favorite rockers in it.

Steve Martin. Don't own many comedy albums but the double release Wild/Crazy-Let's Get Small is unbeatable.

Jerry Seinfeld.

Add Denis Leary to that little list and you'd have most of my faves.
I also loved Sam Kinison.

actually , i dig both of them,, their VERY first HBO specials were both fantastic , stuff we talked about all the time,,

No Cure For Cancer was funny!! at the end when he calms down and starts talking about his father and his brother and a bow and arrow.. and that bit about REM ,, hysterical,, hes a shinny happy meat eating people,, i didnt like the bit on Elvis but i get it ! 8)

that kinison show was so funny ,, comedy that hadent been seen before , i remember the commercial for advertising it was about how these camera men go to africa and dont bring sandwiches... bad but very very funny!! and we cant forget Professor Terguson in Back to School!!

I can't stand Robin Williams. I thought he was funny when he first got famous, but I can't even watch any movies with him in it anymore.

The best - Steve Martin. 13 is right - His albums from the '70's are the greatest. Still looking to download them. Hard to find.

George Carlin is probably my second favorite. Eddie Murphy was an incredible stand up comic. Kinison was great, too.

Dane Cook is really funny, but he has a bad rep for stealing other comic's material.

I simply can't stand Robin Williams, Dane Cook or Sam Kinison. I like Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx, George Carlin and Jackie Gleason.

Redd Foxx, in the past.

Kevin James, now. This guy reminds me of Dean in looks and actions.

It was about 12ish years ago. He used to do a comedy sketch about Jurasic park so thats my bench marker lol. When I was with him - he was obviously NOT what he is now. He was a struggling comic who worked part - time at a pizza place in Arlington, MA. Most of our dates started off with going to a club so he could do a set of 10 minutes. Where he would include me in his act. which was always fun.. (yah right;) ) But the cool thing was that I got to hang with Anthony Clark (he was newer back then), Bill Burr, Patrice (forgot last name) and some other cool guys. Most of those old comedy clubs in Boston are gone now with the exception of the Comedy Connection & Nicks.
