I'm not digging their new one either. Who knows maybe it will grow on me, I just hope the rest of their new cd is better.

Still one fine looking Italian though (for a 45 year old fart)........ as my kid calls anybody over 40.

to be honest, being the professional concert attender, i dont' think this year has the diverse talent as years before. granted, i think dolittle and lakeisha have great voices, but it hasn't kept my attn as before. imo, we are seeing a lot of people that haven't made in the earlier years, and it kinda like sloppy seconds.

I watched last night for the first time in weeks. I wanted to see Barry and what the kids would do with the BeeGees songs. They all sucked at them. The two that may have done them justice were the ones that were voted off last week.

I think it's a little harsh to say Melinda Dolittle sucked at any performance she has given. She is a superior talent. Both Jordan and Lakisha have extraordinary voices. Jordin as more spark on stage. Blake is too locked into the beat box thing. It has gotten over the top tedious. I think he should be the one to go tonight, however it wouldn't surprise me if he hung on for another week. Lakisha seems most vulnerable. :(

All of those girls are very good singers, but I thought the BeeGees songs that I love sounded sucky the way they sang them. They should have chosen songs that were written by the BeeGees or Barry for other performers and not identified quite so closely with the sound of the BeeGees. One of the girls did one of the songs Barry did for Streisand, but I don't think it's really a good idea to mess with Streisand stuff either. In fact, I thought the young guy's voice was better suited to the material he sang than the girls' were to their choices. He just doesn't have that good a voice. The guys that were kicked off last week and were on Regis and Kelly this week both seemed like their voices would have been better suited than any of the remaining ones.

I doubt that I'll watch again and probably won't know who wins unless I read it on here or see it on another TV show. There was just no one on the show this year that grabbed my attention.

I'll keep watching as I'm hoping that I'll see M Dolittle finally breakaway as Paula keeps harping on her about. She almost did with Bon Jovi's song and I think that she will do it yet and Paula will say, "That's what I mean."

Don't mess with Streisand, Perry, Whitney or Mariah would probably be a good motto for all entering the competition!

I walked out on his performance. UGH!
Bon Jovi sounded pretty good though.

That squealing dude was Robin Thicke. He is Allan Thicke's son. You know, the dad from that TV show "Growing Pains". I think he had his son castrated when he was circumcised! That was annoying.

I don't know what was worse, that falsetto-singing, Justin T-wannabe or Bon Jovi.
I know they have a new album coming out and all, but for fuck's sake!
You mentored these kids and told them how it should be done...
Bon Jovi should've came out rockin' with guns blazin'!

Bon Jovi has been "outed" here as nothing more than a lip syncher. I wonder how much truth there is to that. If you consider that Richie sounded stronger and more powerful than Bon Jovi...I mean the guy had to stand back from his mic while Jon was pressed up against his. I'm certain Jon was singing live but he was VERY contained - even reserved. He "hit" the last note but not at all with any real power.

AI is a singing competition and maybe they chose that song because it was more of a vocal tune BUT maybe it was chosen because Jon didn't have to really push it. Maybe for both or more reasons.

Phil definitely had the proper voice for those songs. I was 100% bummed by the whole show. Everybody was just terrible. I really like Melinda and I wouldn't say that she sucked but she also didn't wow me, either.

Is it me or was Barry having difficulty talking through those big, fake teeth of his? They are fake, no? They HAVE to be. He's supposed to perform tonight - I hope he uses sufficient Poly-grip.

I watched the first two, Blake and Lakisha. I couldn't watch anymore. :? I don't think Bee Gees week was a good idea.

Oh my freaking God!!!
My Ass is sore because about 10 monkeys just flew outa of it!!!

WyngDynger, I actually agree with you on something!
I don't know how much truth there is to the 'lipping' comments
but I wouldn't doubt it either. And there are a lot of better known BJ
songs out there that could fall into the "vocal tune" category. Hell, JBJ said himself,
when discussing Jordan sining Livin/Prayer, that that song is a very challenging song, vocally.
Why not let that tune rip??? I just thought it was pitiful seeing someone/a band with that
big of a catalog mentor these kids and then give a performance like that.

BTW, was it just me or did anyone else notice the following:

Richie Sambora puts all of Neal's "Constipated GrandPa looks to shame when he sings.

Rashbaum's frizzy hair is gonna fall out if he keeps bleaching it so much.
That would be David Bryan, BTW. I got the original vinyl release of the debut,
his name is David Rashbaum on it and I just never moved on when he changed it!
Kinda like Dean with the whole Friga thing :D

Ticco Torres, though probably from a hispanic/latino heritage, looks
like he would fit right in with Tony Saprano, Paully Walnuts and the rest of the crew
in the back room of the Bada Bing in a card game!

I've noticed the mannerism before - you can even hear it in his singing - but it seemed so much more pronounced. It just seems like his teeth are going to leap out of his mouth and boogie across the stage.

Ummm Sherrie........... I will have to disagree with this. From stuff I had read way back then, Barry was once married to another lady before marrying Linda. It was a short marriage, and after the divorce, Barry married Linda. It was a big scandal in Britain at the time. :D
