If you consider that Richie sounded stronger and more powerful than Bon Jovi...I mean the guy had to stand back from his mic while Jon was pressed up against his. I'm certain Jon was singing live but he was VERY contained - even reserved. He "hit" the last note but not at all with any real power.
AI is a singing competition and maybe they chose that song because it was more of a vocal tune BUT maybe it was chosen because Jon didn't have to really push it. Maybe for both or more reasons.
Oh my freaking God!!!
My Ass is sore because about 10 monkeys just flew outa of it!!!
WyngDynger,
I actually agree with you on something!
I don't know how much truth there is to the 'lipping' comments
but I wouldn't doubt it either. And there are a lot of better known BJ
songs out there that could fall into the "vocal tune" category. Hell, JBJ said himself,
when discussing Jordan sining Livin/Prayer, that that song is a very challenging song, vocally.
Why not let that tune rip??? I just thought it was pitiful seeing someone/a band with that
big of a catalog mentor these kids and then give a performance like that.
BTW, was it just me or did anyone else notice the following:
Richie Sambora puts all of Neal's "Constipated GrandPa looks to shame when he sings.
Rashbaum's frizzy hair is gonna fall out if he keeps bleaching it so much.
That would be David Bryan, BTW. I got the original vinyl release of the debut,
his name is David Rashbaum on it and I just never moved on when he changed it!
Kinda like Dean with the whole Friga thing
Ticco Torres, though probably from a hispanic/latino heritage, looks
like he would fit right in with Tony Saprano, Paully Walnuts and the rest of the crew
in the back room of the Bada Bing in a card game!
