Donna and Travis ROCK!!

Postby Michael Leigh » Mon May 14, 2007 2:30 am

All,
I just wanted to publicly thank Travis and Donna Please, for the great hospitality after the show, and also picking up the dinner tab.

These are 2 of the nicest people I have ever known in my life, and they are fantastic parents on top of it!!
After such a long, hot, sweaty day, I have never seen such well behaved children in my life.
You guys have great kids and should be proud of the parents that you are.

Thanks T&D,I had a great time with your family, and I can't wait until we are all together again.

That is one great family.

Side note - my finger looks much better after injuring it trying to catch a pass from Dakota on Friday. 8)

Let me know when your next show is, Travis & I would like to try to make it. 8)

I am ok Donna. I had fun playing catch with your son and held my own I think. Fluke thing. Looks like I will be ok. That is what I get for trying to do something athletic instead of just drinking. Chatroom please. LOL

I was so honored to meet the people I did. I really had an amazing time. Hopefully, everyone was able to tolerate my drunken ass. Truly a magical weekend.

Donna and Travis are the kind of people and parents we should all aspire to be.

My daughter who was with me this weekend is not normally a child friendly person. That's why she chose not to have any and raises dogs instead.

She remarked to me several times about how well adjusted and behaved Donna and Travis's kids were.

Good job guys. Maybe if I'd done so well she'd be more child friendly. j/k She's a wonderful person, just not a parent person. :D

You guys are ALL so sweet!!! Thank you very much for your kind words and compliments. The kids were so thrilled to be able to actually meet those crazy people their mom talks to online all the time!

Cyndy, Lauren (the youngest) won't be cranky AT ALL if you arrange that new step-dad for her that we discussed...

I'd put a list up of all the cool people I met but it's easier to just say that EVERYONE was cool as shit. Drunk, sober, older younger, tall, short.....you fuckin' name it. My friends and I were talking on the plane ride home how weird it was that everyone was so cool. Hell, even SOME of the cops I "met" were cool!!

The jello shots were really good! They were very yummy, good thing they came in little separate containers, otherwise I would have had a big bowl with a spoon! :P lol- Oh & that little "trick" you did with one of them too was great Donna! :P  LOL!

Thanks so much for the food too, it was great! Maybe next time SPH can get those things you make Travis, I don't how to spell it! LOL!

It's PEIROGI! I ditto that with the food! The BBQ was great! You guys have a great family and it was nice to meet your kids in person! You guys had your hands full enough. The peirogi's will have to wait! I'll just live with my Mrs. T's until then! Didn't you say there was a website you could order them from once???

Thank you so much Michael!!! I really appreciate your kind words.

This weekend was sooooooo much fun I can't even begin to put it into words. It never ceases to amaze me what a great group of people I have had the honor of getting to know and becoming friends with over these past few months. Whether it's a small gathering at a Frontiers show or a full blown-all out party like this weekend the fun and friendship is always there and everyone is so freakin' cool it's unbelievable.

Dan...It was great to finally meet you. I was kind of freaked out when I first met you because you look just like my cousin's ex-husband. Very Freaky! (Maybe I should introduce you two. )

SPH, Check this out www.polana.com. I think you may find what you're looking for and then some. I've never tried to order anything from them but the food looks great.

Again, thanks to everyone for their kind words. I do so appreciate them. Donna does a great job keeping the kids in line :D !!!

I'm in!!!! Actually, had it not been for the mind-boggling music and massive consumption of alcohol, there were DEFINITELY some single, attractive ladies I would've loved to have talked to a bit more.

Donna & Travis,

Thanks so much for assisting me in my inebriation process. You played a vital role with the Jell-o shots and the wonderful little shooters. I am so glad to have met you; however, briefly. It has taken all the energy drinks they make to assist me in functioning at work this week but it was well worth it!~ Jen-
