Postby *Laura » Wed May 23, 2007 6:20 am

Maybe our UK posters have the April issue of PP Magazine and have read the review.
Anyway,I got the issue in the mailbox and I'm glad to have it.(Many thanks to Robbie Evans :) )

The review is for the Apollo Manchester show,March 7, 2007.

Now,a bit off topic...In this same April issue of the Power Play mag, there's a nice review of my Steve Perry book.
Found it in the AOR news section and it was cool to see that Europeans enjoy it!This confirms the great feedback I got from Europe.
Honestly,I never imagined there are so many Journey fans is so many different countries in Europe. 8)

I'm not the bragging type but well, some things are nice to share. :)

Just think Laura, had I proofread that thing, and corrected the 542 spelling errors, it would have been a whole lot better. I will show you how it's done. Watch for a release next year.

By the way, that dumb bastard should do his homework. Won't Get Fooled Again was a shot at someone else.

The writer was referring to Frontiers, the label...the very shitty label.

Won't get Fooled Again is a shot at a guy who faked his job recently. I forgot his name. Maybe some of you could refresh my waning memory.

If Frontiers pulls their ad from MR because of me, they will rue the fucking day. The ALL TIME Blog will rise and end their business.

On another note, you want to know what the Virgin Scottish stores allocation for the Styx BBT was, two weeks prior to their concert here two years ago - 3 fuckin' copies. Okay some will say 3 copies too many but come on what a marketing cock up that was, it's as if Frontiers couldn't give a fuck
I know Styx had bag loads of CD's to sell pre concert but shouldn't a label promote outwith this?

Regardless of whether or not 'Won't Get Fooled Again' was aimed at anybody in particular, it's a great piece to play before a band comes on, and I'm sure that is also in the band's reckoning. When it starts playing EVERYBODY in the band and crew know exactly how long they have left to prepare for showtime, and at every show Neal appeared on stage at the same point in the song - like clockwork.

Plus it's a cool song. It builds up the excitement and the final crescendo is a great moment for any band to launch into their set.

Yes Marty, but the fact is the song was a signal....a signal that was being sent.....and the band didn't "launch into their set", but rather Neal melded 'Fooled into SSB.......

Trust me, that was a signal, or perhaps an apology or admitance of guilt.

As you may guess not all italians are the same as you describe with common rules, spaghetti/pizza being the first ones.
I'm italian , and I was very let down by this reading w/rgds to Frontiers. I couldn't believe it: Frontiers gained the best artists, my favorite ones, and they are pissing them off? It's a mistery.
No problems anyway with jokes, I got so used to them it's quite funny learning how people in the other side of the world hold us so highly in their minds

Italians are cool, that was my other side posting last night, you are a little lazy in the afternoons though  Rome happens to be my all time favorite holiday destination...must try Milan next time I'm over.

Oh one last thing, can't you make the pizza more colorful like Pizza Hut

Hi styxman,
no problems at all with jokes w/italians, I only wanted to say there are different people in each state, as it should be. After all, we aren't all the same guy and the same girl around the world... Lots of differences happen to be here in Italy as well, especially among north and south sides.
Anyway, back to topic, I hoped to see Journey live here as I did for Toto, but it wasn't possibile this time, maybe next time.
It's good to read reports of their concerts and thanks to the internet, watching and hearing them live on youtube.
Let's wait and hope now for a new studio settlement 8)
