Don't know if this has been done recently but I wanted to take a poll.

I was torn between 3. I chose Departure. Those early vocals just get to me.

No Chicken stock, this topic hasn't been done,...ever. It's like saying, has Journey ever played Don't Stop Believin'?

E5C4P3 is my favorite album, but anyone who would pick it over the Time 3 collection, which has almost the whole E5C4P3 album on it, would be an idiot.

Frontiers, because "Separate Ways" is what brought me to Journey, however, I realize that Escape was their best album.

See, that is the common thought, but I don't think Escape can hold Frontiers' jock.

It could also be argued, that Escape was the starting point for Journey going into the abyss. I don't agree with it, but many do.

People voting for ROR are either moronic, shit stirrers or Penn State grads. ROR was Street Talk 2 with beter mucisians...I will say my favourite Journey rock song is on ROR.

Well certainly there are obvious reasons for people chosing Escape. But I felt Frontiers was a bit heavier than Escape, and that really pulled me more into the Journey flock. I mean, Edge of the Blade? Chain Reaction? Those songs were some of the heaviest sounding songs that Journey had ever written. While Separate Ways, Send Her My Love, and Faithfully were the biggest reasons for me buying the album, the B-Side songs became more of my favorites than the "hits." I loved Troubled Child, Edge of the Blade, and New Frontiers. I just felt Journey's sound had reached the pinnacle by the time they had gotten to Frontiers.

You, sir, are talking to an idiot!

Frontiers would have had my vote if they'd gone with the original plan - twelve tracks, including "Only the Young" and "Ask the Lonely". The suits shot that down.

Infinity all the way! Escape falls into 2nd place for me, however, because it's a great effort! Infinity is what brought Journey to me.. in the 1st place! Still love spinning that LP! Of course it's now a CD!

Compilations and live albums don't count, in my opinion. "Frontiers" is it for me.

For me it's Frontiers all the way. It's what got me into Journey, contains my favorite song, and brings to mind some great memories from the '80s.
