I hate this thread. Journey is not gay. They've had their moments when they were not what one might call a guys band, but not gay. Ever. SP is not gay either. I will never believe that, I don't care who said it. Journey and SP are not gay.

You're right Rick, they're not gay at all, but "gay" has come to have a meaning on this board that has nothing to do with homosexuality.

Whenever the ladies on the board start a thread, or contribute to an existing thread with something that has to do with the sexy appearance of one of the men in Journey it's called a "gay" thread.

Now, if it was indeed gay by definition it would mean that either the men on the board were appreciating the sexy appearance of one of the band members or that the women were appreciating some other woman.

It seems, however, that any thread that has any hint of sensitivity or emotion is labeled as gay regardless of gender.

Therefore I never know what they mean by "gay" anymore.

I agree. My daughter is constantly saying "That's so gay" when there is nothing remotely homosexual about it. The definition is not just blurred, it's out the window. Actually, the original definition of gay is... well we all know. Things change.
