ON TOPIC....do we get new material from Neal this year?

Postby lights1961 » Sat May 26, 2007 8:27 am

With Journey's new material hopefully being crafted or is the beginning stages of creativity and not out until late 2007 or 2008... Is Neal's plan of putting out a CD this year still in the works---and his talk of goingout solo in the works??

Some of the guys are in the studio now as the Talisman farewell wraps its way up. Jon's been pushing his latest solo release, but on the cusp of releasing another single has gone back to work on the new Journey album.

So, one can only hope these guys get us new material this year, group and solo. That way we can have a wicked 08 tour season!

Nope, I'm not. But I like to sound like I know what I'm talking about. Its kind of fun.

Seriously though, rumors are just farts in the breeze, you don't know if it's for real until you catch wind of it.

What part? Some of them are bitchin' about not getting enough rest... Jon won't buck up and tell his label what he wants for his next single. So they're either lazin' on a beach somewhere, or in the studio.

Jon's next single? It's not like he is Elton fucking John, churning out hit after hit. Dude has one hit; a remake at that. He isn't doing shit. Jeff is working. Ross is mixing himself a drink and chilling. Deen is out at the monster truck jams in Salem, OR. Neal is bumpin around in CA.

There are NOT in any studio, I can tell you that.

I would hope that they don't rush, get the sound and mixing right. If it's late this year, cool, but I'd be happy with next year as well. Just as long as it doesn't sound like the last one, which in my opinion, was gawdawful.

One of my favorite records of all time is Beyond the Thunder...If Beyond The Thunder was a place, I would want to live there.

I think JSS is ready to record some phenomenal Journey vox.... How about we start up in July with that album, fellows?

Great CD. I'd move to that place :) Neal's best solo work. It also has the most "Journey" type sound of all his solo stuff. I guess Jon has a lot to do with that.
