Postby Playitloudforme » Fri May 18, 2007 5:24 pm

It's almost Memorial Day (here in the States) which is the traditional start of the Summer Blockbuster film season. Here's a list of the upcoming films. What is your must see, and which do you wish was never made?

Evan Almighty - June 22
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - July 13
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - May 25th
Ratatouille - June 29th
Shrek the Third - May 18
Spiderman III - out now
Transformers - July 4
The Simpson's Movie - July 27th (what a GOOD Day)
Live Free or Die Hard (4) - June 27
Ocean's 13 - June 8
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - June 17
Surf's Up (Happy Feet on Surfboards???)
The Bourne Ultimatum - August 3
Rush Hour 3 - August 10

and any dark horse film I may have forgotten??

Definitely going to see:

Transformers (watched the trailer on this and looks pretty good)
Spiderman 3 (I have yet to see) :x
Fantastic Four

My daughter will probably force me to go see:

Shrek

The rest of the movies I'll decide on after the fact.

Already seen SM3.

Simpsons movie? Maybe, if I am bored one evening. Probably a rental.

Evan Almighty looks completely asinine. What a waste of Steve Carrell.

Die Hard is a must.

Pirates and Harry Potter- YES! ( my kids already have those marked on the calender!)

The rest- well, I'll see what they say about them. I'm not really one to go to the movies ( with 5 people, the ligistics/money is just hard to deal with) But for a good one I'll go 8)

I'll check Oceans 13 and Spidey, too.

Ocean's 13 is a must! :D

And I have to admit that I love Shrek so it's on my list too.

When my grandson visits this summer I'm sure he'll have Spidey Man on his list.

I'll see Spidy and Oceans out of love for both original entries and hope that both sequels can improve upon each series second one. Oceans 12 was an abysmal waste of unbelievable European settings.

Exactly! :x

We were there in Italy while they were filming - on our Honeymoon.

We were at The Pantheon in Rome.....saw the "PanaFlex" cameras, Director, etc....just filming ambient crowd scenes. I thought it was the coolest thing ~ could not WAIT to see it!

My buddy was the location manager for Halloween, which is filmed in my little town. We're known as "Anywhere USA" to the film industry, lol. Rob Zombie was everywhere. And did she introduce me? No. Pfft. Told her she's taking me to the damn premiere.

Mine: Harry Potter is a must, as is Pirates, as is Live Free Die Hard. The rest...meh.

Went to the movies to see 28 Weeks Later (pretty good flick) and saw the trailer for the new Die Hard movie. I felt like running through a wall after seeing it. Looks AWESOME.

Also, RED, a waste of talent....#3 I hear is a little better with a different story line...we'll see

Bourne Ultim. was a fantastic book...Matt Damon has become a very good actor....so we'll see on that one.

Love Bruce Willis....

Will see Shrek.

saw pirates 3 last thursday. i really wanted to love it, but ended up confused through much of the movie - just couldn't keep track of all the double-crossing. loved keef & wished he had a bigger role. the special effects were really cool, especially davy jones' squid face. you must hang out until the very end, after the credits, to see the last scene of the movie.

will probably see:
Ratatouille - June 29th
Transformers - July 4
The Simpson's Movie - July 27th
Ocean's 13 - June 8

I agree with Cyndy... at times I was thinking "seriously, this thing is STILL going on?" But all in all, I will gladly oogle Depp even if the plotline is a bit mistracked.

Shrek 3 was pretty cute, I loved the Journey refrence, but the Zeppelin ref was absolutely hilarious.

As for the rest of the summer, I guess the Simpsons movie. That's about it. Summer is so busy in this biz that you never have a time for that, unless you go on a weeknight, and that in itself is stretching it. :P

Spiderman 3 sucked royally. I can't believe it was made by the same group of people as 1 & 2.

Can't wait for Bourne Ultimatum!!! (The preview for this movie was seriously 100 times better than spidey3.)

SPIDER MAN was a big, bloated mess.
PIRATES is getting HAMMERED by the critics.
RUSH HOUR 3- Did anyone SEE how badly that hack Brett Ratner fucked up X3????
FANTASTIC FOUR has a great preview, but FOX are the MASTERS of making shitty movies with great previews..plus with that hack Tim Story directing again (as he did the first floating turd of a film) I have STRONG reservations.
OCEANS and SIMPSONS look like they could be fun...
BOURNE ULTIMATUM and HARRY POTTER are the only must see's on that list for me.

I like the Fantastic 4 characters, but thought the first movie sucked. I will give part 2 a chance, tho.

I loved all the X-Men flicks. :?

Can't wait for Die Hard. I have a feeling it will be the best once since the first one.
