It was #14....just happened...

I thought it was pretty funny that they had 2 guys from "Yacht Rock" making commentary...the "Michael McDonald" - looking one is the one who said to "get them into the RNRHOF".

Yesterday on the morning radio show I litsen to, they couldn't decide if Open Arms or Faithfully was Journey's most sappy song ever. I instantly found one fo the female co-hosts less hot when she kept yelling out FAITHFULLY! FAITHFULLY!

It's a shame what can make you like someone less.

"Open Arms" is cheesy, sappy, fluffy pink bunny kisses.

"Faithfully" is an emotionally-stirring, powerfully driving love song.

Like someone else said in the thread, this list seems to be based more on cheese factor than song quality. Of course I don't think OA is cheesy, but it seems that some people do. :?

How could they put Dust In The Wind at #7?? That song doesn't have any "cheese" factor IMO. They missed the mark on that one. As for the rest, it's safe to say they were dead on.

Now that I see Debby Boone and Captain & Tennille on the list, it's definitely based on cheese factor. LOL Although some of those songs I don't consider cheesy...OA included.

I can't believe one of the most well-known soft rock bands didn't make this list: AMBROSIA! I'm laughing my ass off because this was a topic of discussion last night when a few of us "Annexians" were partying last night in D.C. I was trying to remember all of their hits, every one of them should've made this list:

How Much I Feel
Biggest Part of Me
You're the Only Woman
Holdin' on to Yesterday

Couple other good ones that didn't make the list - Little River Band and Player!!!!!

Can't believe there are no Eagles songs on the list. Lyin' Eyes, Witchy Woman, Best of My Love... Come on!

Anyone like Al Stewart's two hits, Year of the Cat and Time Passages? And where was Dream Weaver, by Gary Wright?

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, wine and chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "what a ride!"

The more I look at that list, the more I realize they put little to no thought into it. Fuck VH-1. I'm so sick of their lack of imagination and their lame excuse for programming. If I see Hal Sparks or Michael Ian Black one more time I'm going to kick in my fucking TV. How the fuck can "Into The Night," one of the cheesiest soft rock songs ever, not be on that list. And how in God's name is Debbie Boone lower on the list than Journey? What a piece of shit way to sell advertising. Whomever is head of programming at VH1 should be working at a taco stand in East LA.

Just replace the Hoff with "Nuno Bettencourt"....since all of a sudden, he's in the news and on this program, with Extreme's "More Than Words" ~ cheesy as it is, it brings attention back to him.

...and lo and behold...he's writing music again....with Steve Perry, who's ALSO in this show ~ with "OA".

Things that make you go, "hmmm...."

I'm a living testimonial, MUSAk can save lives! Why if it wasn't for the same ten songs played over and over during my five year trip through retail hell, who knows where I'd be? Probably impaled on a dress rack.

God bless you Steve Perry. May the light in your eyes always stay lit and your hair retain that lustrious sheen. BTW, is that Crisco or Main and Tail? :?:
