We can't use chalk - too much dust. Also, the school gives us the new formula dry erase markers that don't have the funky smell. I don't like them as well.

Great list AR.. I miss most of what you mentioned except for Brad Delp. I'll never miss someone who commits suicide. They don't want to hang out here on earth.......bye. I don't miss ya.

Oh yeah...as far as the list goes, I miss #'s 1 and 2. I don't smoke, actually hate it, but I think second hand smoke is WAY overrated. Besides, a bar without smoke aint a fuckin' bar. If I was worried about my health I wouldn't be there seeing how many shots I could do before I started seeing double (sometimes triple). And I miss pulling into a gas station and not having to get out. Makes getting gas MUCH easier when I'm driving hammered.

I agree with 12 and 21. The only one I'd add it 19. I miss the ability to order a hand crank, no air car to run stop light to stop light. It's a good thing I bought a new one in 1991 to do just that.

Lots of great after school memories with Captain Chesapeake & Mondy the sea monster! I even remember the beginning of the show..."A shipwrecked sailor found himself in a plight. Lost at sea, he was really a sight. He swam and swam, till he thought he'd die, when a wonderous sight appeared to his eye. A derelict boat that saved his life, and put an end to his watery strife." Do you remember Professor Kool's Fun Skool? I miss watching wrestling with my dad. He died when I was 14. We used to watch every Saturday together when I was little. I remember going to the Civic Center (now the Baltimore Arena) to watch wrestling with him. Got to meet Andre the Giant when I was 7 years old. He put me up on his shoulders and I got scared. I'd have to say what I miss the most is all the lost time with my parents.

While thinking about this thread, I remembered the tennis shoes that were HUGE when I was in high school - Kaepa. They were the ones with two sets of shoelaces. Anybody else willing to admit to wearing them??

Yeah, me too. I remember that we would stop at High's on the way home from baseball practice, and I would usually buy the bubble gum that had them included. Weren't they also in Wonder Bread, too?

Yep. They were pretty bad. Of course, I also had the tall tube socks with colored stripes at the top which really completed the picture. I was pretty much of a spaz.
