Steve's Voice - Hit and Miss

I know it's toned down a bit, but I still think it's pretty damn good. I have a couple of boots of him singing this song during FLOSM that sound really bad. Just think of what he would sounded like with a better band behind him.

I love this one too.

scary,, hes tuned down just a half step on "Girl Cant.....".. i think it sounds great too!! he sounds a bit different but has that same tone...

that band sounds fantastic to me though.. they may lack the soul sound of Journey,, but these guys are really rated as top notch musicians , Brewster is plum scary on guitar.. thanks for the clips,, 8)

i bet by the end of this tour he WOULD have had his vocs built back up from all the touring,, that saying , TBF has some great vocals.. people tell me the vocal chords are a muscle that needs to be worked and relaxed like a bicep,, now he has to go lift "vocal weights" to get back to '94.. could be tough..

He is good. He sounds a lot like Neal.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I'm not saying he's terrible or anything. Guess I'm just used to the magic that is Neal. Same goes for Perry. Anyone else singing the songs just sounds declasse. I love him man!!!!!!! :P

I've never seen that picture before. That bass is bigger than he is.

I refuse to listen to any other singer do any songs. Not just Journey. Music does not exist for me without The Voice. He will return someday to sooth our souls with his magical tones. Keep the faith!

Why or why didn't SP have this concert video taped? He sounds fabulous - much more depth of feeling than I think he had before actually. I know he didn't particularly care for cameras in concert as he was reluctant to have them for the Escape Houston concert, but he was so natural before an audience & the camera anyway. I don't understand.

BTW, did he have braces as a teen? Looks like he might have them in that cute pic.

Tonight I was just thinking about how there are so many famous people who have disappeared from the public eye - how many actors/actresses are considered "too old" or "not on the A list" anymore & they aren't wanted for roles. Yet, Steve Perry is still "in demand" by so many fans - that so many people miss him in a huge way. Do many people actually miss actors/actresses in the same way? It doesn't seem like it. It's pretty impressive that he made such a major impact - that he really touched the soul of the listeners. I miss him, too. Isn't there even a recent pic of him this year just to see him?
