My 9 year old daughter has become a big Journey fan. She went with me to the concert last year and got meet Jeff and have him sign her Journey t-shirt. She loved the show and now she goes to sleep listening to the "Greatest Hits" CD every night. In fact, she gets upset if we try to put a different disc in.

My daughter's been a Journey fan for a long while now, except she loves to listen the Perry era right along with me. She has her own cd's that she listens to on a regular basis , and when I put on one of my cd's of of Perry, no matter what she is doing, she will come listen to it with me and start singing to the music. I love spending time with my daughter that way!

Both of our kids love Journey, the 6 year old air drums, the almost-2-year-old sang WITS the other day...the best that a toddler possibly can anyhow, lol.

To this day, we still talk in our family about the Journey concert our Dad took his 3 sons who were old enough (I was the youngest at 6), to a Frontiers tour concert in St. Louis, MI. We were all Journey fans, though my Dad, more than anything, was looking to do something fun with his kids. It was a great sounding, great show, and we recall Journey playing an 'extended' set (with Steve Perry leaving the stage and the band playing an instrumental improv jam).

When we got home apparently we were all stoned due to the second hand herb smoke...We raided the kitchen...Stone in Love ...lol

My first Journey album was Infinity, loved the music, loved Gregg's voice but thought Perry was screeching. His voice had to grown on me...to the extent it did .

Same with my 17 year old daughter. She likes Journey's music and thinks Perry has a great voice, but after seeing an old picture once on the internet she thought he looked monkeyish, so now to rile me up she'll call him 'monkey boy'. LOL how dare she! Although, got a kick out of hearing her tell a friend that Jeff was Mark Walberg's (who she thinks is hawt) voice in the Rockstar movie. LOL didn't even correct her.

Hey Carol, at my daughter's wedding(not the one you met) her husband insisted on WYLAW being played as part of the ceremony, then they had Faithfully and Open Arms played at the reception.

I can't get my 4 yr old to listen to anything else besides, "Oh, Sherrie" and "Captured by the Moment"! Every time we get in the car for school. I keep trying for other stuff & Journey & telling her it is still the same singer, but those are her favorite songs & that's what she wants to hear & sing to. Next week her class is singing, "God Bless America" - so cute.
