Fuck you Saint Cocksucker.

She is twice the person he is.

Maybe, but she's also half his height. Midget bitch. :D

Shania Twain has done so much more for the community and world than Steve Perry has. Fact.

The best thing she's done for my community was her "Man, I feel like a woman" video..The only time I've ever humped my TV. Fact!!!

I agree with Cyndy!! JW sounds much more desperate. AK sounds like she is just singing lyrics.
I do like her voice though, but her style of music with Union Station isn't my cup of tea.
Waite has ALWAYS been one of my all time favorite vocalists, going back to The Babys 2nd record Broken Heart.Great, great vocalist.Even though he doesn't have a lot of range, he knows how to use what he does have.

Ann would have been good for the song, not so good for the video.

Video is a rip off of Robert Palmers
where he has the pretty girls behind him dancing & fondling the guitars though you know none of them could play a note...
Would think Mutt could add some orgiinality

Shadow, It was a planned ripoff, as they were honouring Robert.

Surprising coming from someone who values feeling and passionate vocals more than a pure voice angelic voice...or does that just apply to Perry, in regards to his lexcusing his later voice...Waite sings with more angst and desperation and woe is me than even Perry, I've always thought his Masterpiece of Loneliness could apply as much to Perry as to himself, what with the loss of everyone close to him that we've ever heard about. Waite never had the ability of a Perry but his phrasing and feeling are second to none in my opinion. As for the asshole comment, he has been as hard or harder than Perry for the J guys to work with, and seems to have a chip on his shoulder regarding the way his career has gone.
I pretty much agree with your assessment of When I See You Smile though, hard to believe he wanted that song to be recorded by BE, #1 not withstanding, as he didn't seem as sincere in that one as usual, shouldn't have been done and really stuck in Jon and Neal's craw.

I know the answer to that.

Me too, smart choice pairing Jennifer and Jon together. Their voices compliment each other on that one (a la Perry/Rolie).

She sang with them in Nashville, she was adorable! she was having the time of her life up their on stage sharing the mic. with JBJ!
I would say 89% of that audience was female. All the ladies were dressed up and having a girls' night out, the energy was so positive and Jon sang up in the audience for several tunes, he even began the concert from the back of the room, it really was a blast!. Deb, I hope Richie gets well so you can enjoy the entire experience when you see them soon! :D

I still like Perry's voice much better but Waite isn't bad. Anyway, his mediocre voice has held up much better than Perry's over the years.

Waite barely had any range even in his heyday and he sings in a laid-back, semi-talking style in any case...so it doesn't surprise me that Waite's voice has 'held up' to this undemanding technique of his.

Regardless, he's been singing long enough that you'd think he wouldn't sound quite as good as he still does.

2 things:

1. Do you think this song's comeback / interest has anything to do w/ the "AI" performance by whoever that guy was? - God I hope not....

2. Is that David Pack in the Booth - at the 1:17 mark...?

I like it......my other half had some hateraid.......he thinks it sucks! But he doesn't really like remakes too much, and feels that is doesn't do justice to the original version (or some bs like that he tried to tell me)
