Out of the 3 mentioned - DeYoung can still sing at a high level. Has a lot to do with the fact that he has a deeper voice. Gramm was amazing, medical problems hurt him. Perry was of course amazing but no way a man of that age can sing in a range now that was made for chicks.

Journey should hire a hot chick to sing so the men can fawn. 8)

Lou is 57. Born May 1 of 1950 if I remember correctly.

Dennis DeYoung, according to Wikipedia was born in '47, so he's 60 right on the dot.

Who cares how old they are, as long as they can bring it... sadly, I don't think Lou can. One of my all time favorite vocalists.... DDY, I've heard he still can. But Steve, who the hell knows...

The vocals are just too high. No fucking way.

Could he do some non-Journey stuff in a lower register. I would say "why not?" Tons of money to be made that way as Rod Stewart found out.

Perry could do that. He seems to be content though. Leave that thing alone.

I get the whole wishing thing. I got my wish seeing my favorite childhood band reunite with original members a decade ago. Journey had the chance, but let it slip. Apply the blame wherever you wish.

The question is who would open?

Twigs or Foreigner?

Maybe they could sneak Steve Augeri and The Butterflies in as an opener?

I have some boots of the Lou Gramm band and I'd say that he's about 85% back to where he was at his peak. He has certainly gotten through the really tough times (i.e. in the late 90's when he shouldn't have been touring at all).

I'm with SJ. I'd fork out some serious dough to get front-row seats for myself and my son. But David would get pissed off, because he prefers JSS to Perry!

Now see right there, that's my point about "needful" cursing.
You can't begin a request for suicide with "please" and then not include either "fuck" or "god damned".
Basic 6th grade English class. When you diagram it, it goes on a little offshoot line under the noun, I believe.

Meanwhile, if Perry's still got it, then where, precisely, is it?
I'm not saying he can't, but since we've yet to hear it... prove me wrong Perry! I fuckin dare ya.
(now see, there, it's an adverb...)

Ah ha! A noun.
Ok, maybe he isn't singing, but at least we're sharpening our sentence structure. Thank you Steve.

I used be good at diagramming sentences, but I've got no clue now. Thanks for the refresher.

If Lou and Perry could bring it, That would be awesome. I saw Foreigner with Lou open for Journey back in 98 or 99 (Augeri's first tour), but he was horrible, and the band also just didn't seem to care. Journey blew them off the stage. I remember writing them off forever after that show.

I like maybe 3 Styx songs.

I felt bad for Lou, NIG. He "brought it" but it was obvious there were medical conditions betraying him. I love that guy. Perry is a fuckin' coward. I'm the biggest Loon and I just made 4 new enemies with this comment, but he has NO respect for his fans...none at all. It's all about his selfish fixation with fucking Journey( something I never really considered those dudes without Perry). He'll die before he tells us he's "let it go." There's NO reunion in the works because one man chooses to keep fucking his fans right in their asses. Thanks Steve. AR was right. I'm a stupid motherfucker. I hope you fall out of your rocking chair and REALLY break your hip. You lying motherfucker. You can't gag me.
