Matthew,if you're coming it would be a shame to miss visiting Chicago!
At least, that's what we plan to do (a couple of us,maybe 3),spend something like 2 days exploring ChiTown then drive to SB on Saturday(rented car).

It would be cool to have another 'smelly European' joining besides me,or maybe 2 with your other smelly half (sorry,Mrs.Matthew!)

If you decide on this,PM me for plans. And of course, for a teeth whitening plan,we need that worked out too!

Chicago is NOT a place I would recommend to visit ! Thats all I can say about the windy city.

Chicago and Detroit are the 2 filthiest, crummiest cities of this country. Not much to see, unless you find homeless people a touris attraction!
sure there's the Sears tower, but you smelly Euros have your Eiffel tower :P
and I dont think any europeans will appreciate the Chicacgo style pizza's, cause there's too much dough and less flavor.
But then again, what one may find boring/filthy, others may find fun :)

Yeah, what's wrong with Chicago? Museums, history, best food?? Besides, I'm originally from the area.

But no one makes the Clam Chowder like you do! 8)

I've had two very positive trips to Chicago, so I'm looking forward to it. Some of the best restaurants in the country, I'll tell ya that!

Chicago is definately the worst city I've been in. I wouldn't recommend it either.
