Any idea what your enemy SA is saying about all this Dean?

I know you probably still hate his guts and think he should have been dragged under a train... but I'm just asking cos I dunno how I would react if I was booted in that manner and then the person who replaced me got booted 11 months later.

I guess if it's not official, he is technically not lying. Journey changes their mind quickly. Tomorrow could be different. Jeremey was honest as he could be. He doesnt have a signed contract yet. So he's not yet the lead singer. He might never be. Or he might. Let's not rip him apart. He is a good man.

I Honestly think they just got scared ...simple as that sure Jeff pumped some new needed blood intro the group,but if they were thinking on moving away from the "Journey Sound" they thought twice ...and got scared they must figure there sticking to what they know....and Jeff wasn't that sound...so they ran.

I don't know whether or not Jeremey is the next "new" lead singer of Journey or not, or what he is or isn't lying about and don't really care. I've spoken to Jeremey through PM's on this site numerous times, and he's a good guy. I wouldn't begrudge anyone for attempting to live out their dream. Having said that, I can't imagine ANYONE wanting this gig!

I also think it is INSANE for Journey to hire ANY singer from a Journey tribute band, and that is not meant as any disrepect to Jeremey, AT ALL! The first time I ever heard Jeremey, I told him I was stunned by how well he could sing, because he didn't look the rock star part. I just think that even with his immense talent (if he is even the guy), Journey is opening up an enormous can of worms hiring a lead vocalist from a tribute band. Perhaps if this is the direction Journey ultimately goes in, they are finally admitting what most of us have known for a very long time...they are nothing more than a tribute band, without Perry!

It may just be me, but in my opinion this has the smell of Friga all over it.

If this is really going down. Why bring in another new comer? (no offense Jeremey).

Does anyone remember a man named Rolie. Dump the Frig, keep Soto and bring back Rolie. If Soto doesn't want in, Chalfant just did a cover album of Journey tunes. I am sure he has no problem sticking to the oldies. At least you have the cred of bringing back a founding member.

Sorry, this my initial reaction. I guess I will have to give it some time.

I don't know.............I am just totally confused by this move.

I am truely sad to see Jeff go. The possibilities that will now never be realized. Just a shame.

Why would Rolie want to get involved? Journey stiffed him, KC, and Herbie for the TBF reunion, and it also ended Abraxas Pool. Following that fiasco, Gregg let go of Journey style pop music and went back to his "roots" of Santana. I highly doubt he is interested in getting involved in this band. He hasn't even been interested in doing something with KC and the Storm.
