Just hoping for at least another half assed new cd. With a few decent tunes. By all means Moonbeam, keep mourning your world being thrown for a loop. Congratulations on the coherent thought and proper sentence structure of your post!

Also, if I remember correctly, didn't Jeremey say his wife offered a cd of him doing their songs to the guys once, only to have Jonathan look like it was covered in shit or something? Like he was insulted that anyone would do a tribute to them. It seems that these guys would sell their mother for a buck, but I don't see how they think they'd make any more money than they might have with JSS. With friends like these guys...well Neal anyway, not sure how Cain ever felt about JSS.

NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Sure. I used to be a huge Speedwagon fan 'til they kicked Richrath out. I still bought their new cd. CD's okay, nothing close to when Richrath was in the band. I've seen them 3 or 4 times since then too. I don't want the rest of the band burned at the stake for getting rid of my favorite member. I think it's a pretty healthy view to have of a band. It's entertainment!

I'll 4th that.
Haven't they learned yet that Elvis has left the building.

I can't imagine how JSS must feel to see some of you ready to fill his shoes before the dust even settles. And you settle for a Perry clone. I don't know who received the biggest knife in the back from you few, Jeff or Augeri. You must have some doubts about what went down with Augeri, now that you see what they do to their best friends.

I guess I stand accused of this. But I don't look at it as forgetting about him before the dust settles. People like YOU who are a fan of perry only aren't fans of Journey. The singer is part of the band. I loved everything Augeri did in Journey too but got IMMEDIATELY behind JSS. I did the same in 98 when "Elvis'" bluff was called.

I do miss JSS fronting the band and appreciate the live shows he gave us and remain regrettful that he did not get the chance to put his vox to a Journey album.

At End of the day, I guess there's only ONE person who could have me going to a Journey show and standing there in the middle of the crowd with my arms folded and a big scowl on face shaking my head going "WHY DID THEY DO THIS?" through clenched teeth.
2 hints: it wasn't JSS and it's not Jeremy.

I am surprised they are allowing you to talk on here. Probably want you to behave as you would normally. I wonder if the fan reaction here has you thinking twice about this gig? I wouldn't want this job, even if I could sing that well, in a million years.

Have you conveniently forgotten that these same people fought you tooth and nail over recording and video rights? They blocked everything you tried to do. Yet, I guess money will heal all wounds. As for the opportunity, I really don't think of it as anything special. These guys are nothing anymore. The fact that that they took their new chance that was handed to them, and pissed it away yet again, simply suggests that Journey is garbage.

I do hope you have a lawyer with you when you sign your contract.

Dean, I appreciate your perspective and consider you a friend as well. As I've said before, no offers have been made, I've yet to talk to anyone in management. There's no smoking gun there, but I am excited about being able to just sit down at a piano with a few of the most talented songwriters of the past 25 years and make some music. That's an offer that no one in their wildest dreams would have imagined. I am online only to address questions where I can regarding my potential future with the band. As it stands, there is nothing in place. I am at my job right now, and I have health insurance and a baby on the way, and an amazing opportunity to shake hands with a few of my idols. Should this go any further, it's true that I probably won't be around her very much, but for now, there is nothing more than the potential of living out a dream for a few days and that's enough for me - And it would be enough for anyone of you.

Okay, I must've missed some key post in between. Now, Jeremey IS being considered as possible lead singer? I'm sorry, but I honestly hope this doesn't happen to become true...Jeremey, you've always been informative on this board & I have nothing against you & your tribute band...but, this just seems way to farcical for my taste. I can just hear on the radio announcements the jokes about JRNY hiring a tribute singer...the thought of it is ranking right up there with those commercials with William Shatner, Robert Goulet, George Hamilton...makes me cringe...JRNY needs to retire before it gets worse.

What is this shit about Jeremey just being a "tribute" singer..Jesus H Christ..have u heard the guy..he can outsing Perry, JSS or Augeri..with consumate ease!!

Do not underestimate the guys voice..its amazing!

He is frankly..too f**king good for Journey.... they will be cery lucky to secure someone as good as him...so get off your goddam high horse.... christ.... you think Journey can call the shots after this debacle.... ??

Rather than being a "laughing stock" ... it will be just the opposite! Talent is talent..a great singer is a great singer...no matter what his background, colour, race or creed! Anyone who is into music knows this..anyone who could possibly even contemplate "laughing" is an utter prick.... Jeremey.... give it your best shot..ignore the jealous-heads out ther...who will try to bring you down..you have the voice...use it!!
