And before you start with tapegate, lets remember that beyond this circle the people that know about tapegate are few and far between. Yea you'd have to go with a lighter schedule to keep his voice strong, but it's doable.
In the early days of this debacle, it was alluded to by Andrew that he WAS asked, but he turned it down.
I believe Andrew's exact quote, after stating Augeri would NOT be back, was: "I never said he wasn't asked."

Seriously, as offended as WE are by the JSS incident, this thing is NOT going to affect Journey's marketability in the long-term because 95% of the people out there will have NO IDEA this has happened and wouldn't give a crap anyway.

This is a joke, right? A Tall Stories/ Augieri solo tour will not draw more fans than Journey with a new singer who sounds EXACTLY like Perry? And Journey, with 95 million records sold worldwide, will be forced to tour with Kansas and BOC, with combined worldwide sales of 15 million units? Please enlighten the rest of us as to what you're smoking and where we can get some.![]()

Soto All The Way wrote:No, not really, but sorta.....Do you think that JOURNEY NOW will be able to go out on the road and MARKET another tour with their 3rd singer in 3 years????
As for SA, if he tours with maybe a decent band, maybe Jon Waite, Styx, Talisman? Someone like that? Who knows the numbers that would draw.

Yep.
As I told Monker when Jeff was brought in, it won't matter one iota to the casual masses at large.
People come to hear the greatest hits.As for SA, if he tours with maybe a decent band, maybe Jon Waite, Styx, Talisman? Someone like that? Who knows the numbers that would draw.

According to who's watch?
The 'Generations' tour may have featured 3 hour sets, but the first hour was dedicated to Pre-Perry songs.
Unless, of course, you're including Augeri's choral humming (along with the rest of the band) on the 'Peoples and Places' intro.
On some nights the first hour included AWYWIT or FTW, but they were tape, so that's a moot point
As for the remaining two hours, Augeri's worload was interspliced by 2 lead songs by Deen and turns at the mic by Neal, Jon, and Ross.
In short, your theory is bullshit.
