Except Cain co-wrote those heavier tunes you mention - so I doubt he had a problem with them being played live.

It's true...but certainly it's not the stuff that gives a vision of what Journey is for him. Thanks for your reply. BTW, Talisman will play here in Rio on July 7. I hope to post some photos!!!

Don't be fooled, Frig's wearing fishnets and a thong underneath his slacks.

Neal has the boobies for the dress.

I agree with you up to this point. It sounds like they are taking the rest of the year off. I don't think that have any TV commitments as of right now. Given the lousy decisions they've have made, it would not surprise me if they are contemplating doing a ROCKSTAR: Journey. Wouldn't that be the end?

I can see Frig & Fro having contractual complications for recording a new album because they've signed on to compete in the new season of "Flavor of Love".

So he had to swallow him. Right now, at the point to start to write and record new stuff, these differences came to the surface.

Jeff...I'm with you!!!

Sorry for this poor English!!!

We can all speculate about their motivation as much as we like but fact is they've been on tour with Jeff for 6 months, good for about 70 shows, before they decided to make him a "permanent" member! It's not like they were rushed into a decision, they knew very well what he could or couldn't do. They all seemed to be on fire, having the times of their lives. It just makes no sense at all!

You're right it doesn't, but then again we are trying to think logically. I think the key to semi-understanding the band's 180 is the difference between the '06 tour and the '07 tour. The tour with Def Leppard was a shorter Journey show played before a mostly ROCK audience. Although, fans in Europe were also very enthusiastic, there must have been a realization that with a longer show, JSS would have to sing songs that have a firm Perry vocal stamp on them. They probably don't want to have to have Deen sing as much as he has had in the last couple of years (with Augeri and now Soto this spring).

With a new CD released I would think there would be less songs like that to sing.

Wrong. At least according to what Jeff said. Deen wanted to sing. Fans wanted him to sing. Do I need to find Jeff's message about this to shut u up?

Hi, these are the american bands I've seen:

Aerosmith (1994), Bon Jovi (1990 and 1995), Metallica (1989), Faith no More (1991 and 1995),
Guns N" Roses (1991 twice, 1992 and 2001), Queensryche (1991), Extreme (1992), Skid Row (1992 and 1996), Poison (1994), Black Crowes (1996), Evanescence (2007).

English and european bands come to Brazil often than the americans. the last shows I've seen were from UK/Canada artists

Rush, Roger Waters, Iron Maiden, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple

Well... I'll pick my three favorite singers...

STEVE PERRY - DAVID COVERDALE - JON ANDERSON
(They're not from this planet!!!!!)

Well, we're all guessing, but it's hard to find a reason...it was unfair, unexpected, unreal what they did. I wouldn't be surprise about anything that comes from Neal & Jon. Back Talk (the Journey Forum) is offline since June 12. They didn't want to hear us...they didn't want to hear the truth...so let's wait for the "next move"...

Romantic Guy must be in a gay sanitorium somewhere,I am not far behind {not the gay section.} You were fucking right Deano.Sorry to question you but it seemed so far fetched, I couldnt beleive Journey could do this to Jeff. It doesent matter now right? Fuck it. You should take over Journeys management. You know what the hell is going on,and at least you are honest. I like Jeremey, and if Journey is going to a tribute to there own music, they might as well get the best. He can do the Job!!.im not sure about his writing skills ,but he sing can Journey better than anyone. From now on its about the music.I wont get anywhere near the bus. i dont want to meet them fuckers anymore. friga blows

I respect your opinion on this but, really...what's the point of a "tribute" band?

Journey reminds me of a boxer who just doesn't know "when to say when".

It really saddens and pisses me off to see this happening.

I agree with you  It's time to close up shop guys.

Lov you'er siggy :D

You're having a laugh - when you go see the Eagles do you go to hear new material? when you go to see the Stones do you want to hear them having a crack at some grunge or indie rock? No, most folks want to hear classic rock which Journey is, simple fact. Another simple fact is that JSS was not an ideal fit. If he was he'd still be there - Don't get me wrong, I like his solo stuff but he was never the perfect fit in Journey bit like Dio in Sabbath is good but not quite right. The band have made a decision and will continue to be one of the best live bands in the business - 3 simple facts in the same post although one opinion based so maybe 2+1 but you get the point.

on the other hand you could say that if they're just going to become a tribute band of themselves, and only play the same songs you could save your money and listen to them on a cd at home, or better still go and see a cracking tribute band for a whole lot less money, in my opinion.
Personally I think when bands take the decision to go down that road it means
1.That they have become creativly stagnant and it's the easiest way of padding that out.-or-
2. That they cant be bothered, but this is where the old boxer never knowing when to say when thing comes in, and they carry on and the numbers dwindle.-more than likely-
3. They fade into obscurity and the annals of history.
4. And this is the worst one of all. Music has become a bi product of thier business, and the fans are just consumers for thier goods. They know they can make maximum profit by cutting production down on new lines, but still sell the old stuff. In other words the consumer/fan is shortchanged.
