Neither.
But what they should now do, is hire Brian May as their new Manager and PR specialist.
And let him sit in on auditions for a new singer.

Ummm...that's kind of a scary question...

Seriously, even back in the day at their best vocally, I don't think either one of them could have handled the material. And I say that with all due respect, especially to Phil Collins. Genesis is tied with Rush as one of my top two bands of all time (yes, Journey is not my favourite band!) and thanks to the D-Bad Duo I can spend my money on seeing Rush and Genesis this year instead of wasting it on supporting Journey.

Now if I could pick any singer to sing with Journey, it would be Steve Augeri again. But I like and respect him too much to wish that situation back into existence. Steve A will do just fine on his own.

Well, I had pretty much figured that already from your user name, lol! FOS is one of my absolute all-time favorite Genesis tracks.

How many G shows are you gonna see?

I think Phil Collins is immensely talented, but neither he nor Winwood would be right for Journey!

anything I had to say on this subject went out the window when i read this response. Susie is 1000% correct. but unfortunately, they aren't smart enough to do anything close to this.

wow...for journey?

well, i know phil could bang the hell out of some drums, so he might upstage deen and then piss him off to, leading to another firing.

winwood...i could see a little more. he was into the 60s-70s rock thing with blind faith and traffic and spencer davis, but then turned new wave-ish and did albums like "back into the high life".

if it was between the two, i'd pick winwood.

but i don't think either would ever work...

Hey John-
Considering the OBSCENE amount of money they want for the tickets, probably just one :-) I'm sorry, but $200.00 for a good seat if too much if you ask me. But it's probably the last time out for them, so I'll go. Ah, to hear Cinema Show and Supper's Ready one last time!!!

I couldnt imagine either of these guys singing Journey & I am certain neither would ever consider it. But since we're just fantasizing...

Phil simply does not have the range to sing these songs & never did. About 20 yrs ago Steve could have done it for sure. His voice was phenominal & sometimes mindboggling. Now at 57, no, I dont think he could.

Unfortunately Brian would have none of it.
