OT - So, I had this dream about the October MR Concert

Postby Greg » Sun Jun 17, 2007 8:42 am

I dont' know why, but I've been having really weird dreams lately, but this one was really cool! I dreamed that I got up enough courage to travel to see the MR concert in October, and I was able to get front row tickets (well hey, you're gonna dream, you're gonna dream big) and guess who was sitting beside me to my left? None other than the man himself.......Andrew!!! He had the classic Auzzie accent and was a nice guy to talk to. He told me that he was saving the seat next to me for a special guest. None other than Steve Augeri! Steve sat down next to me and I shook his hand and told him what an honor it was to sit next to such a great talented vocalist. Augeri was the classic nice guys...kind of reminded me of me.... !

Anyways, my dream sort of fast forward to Jeff's performance...yeah he rocked the house! Later on, I got to meet Jeff and talked to him. He was joking around and I told him how disappointed I was that he didn't stay in Journey, but I was a fan of his regardless. The only other MR members I saw in my dream was Ed and Laura. No, I don't dream about ED! I'm staying silent on Laura though! All in all, it was a great dream! It's weird how you haven't ever met someone face to face, and feel like you've known them for years!!!

Anyways, I'm going to try to dream about mostly women tonight, but I thought I'd share that dream with you people!

I am thinking seriously about going in October. I have never traveled that far before, so it's something I'm still thinking about. If I do go, I expect a party 24/7....lol!

I had a dream once that a meteor was headed for earth and Steve Augeri and Jesus melted the glaciers to form an aquatic barrier to save the world. And they did. Then gas prices went down.

I like your dream better Greg, yours most likely included more debauchery.

Virginia's not that far from South Bend! At least not my part of VA.

Well, I live in South Central Virginia. On the NC border.

If it wasn't so far, I'd drive, but I don't like putting that many miles on the 'Stang! :D

Hmm... Martinsville, South Boston, or Danville area?

You can probably pick up my radio station from there... though I couldn't imagine why the hell anybody would want to. I'm an hour or two west of you. On the NC border as well.

Dude, I'm driving up on either the 4th or the 5th - I live in Charlotte. Want me to pick you up on the way? Then you'll have no excuse!
P.S. I'm not as worried about putting a lot of miles on the Corolla. :D

Hey BRG, I don't know if I can get your station,(I've probably never actually tried.) but I'm in south central VA too. I'm about midway between Danville and Lynchburg and a little over an hour southeast of Roanoke. According to Maps.com it's about 9 1/2 hrs of driving time from here to South Bend, and of course with the necessary stops that's going to be more like 11 or 12. It would be about the same for Greg because he's about the same distance from Roanoke as I am and we'd both need to go there to get on 81. You probably catch 77 from where you are.

I don't blame you for never trying. Hell knows I don't even listen to it and I run the damn thing from time to time.

Yeah I'd hit 77 from here, hitch up to 81 in Ft. Chiswell and probably catch 77 again at the other side of Wytheville on up north, I think that's the quickest way up there.

Now I'm seriously considering going since I have locals there. Can we say CONVOY! LMAO :P
