A little off of center... but I can hear a cover of "I Think We're Alone Now"... poetic almost.

Brilliant! Another festering turd to add to the fine stable of Mall-eoke acts. Wonder if Tiffany is available for an appearance? Better act fast. The holidays will be here soon enough and they could very well get bumped out of a gig by Santa.

Tiffany's on the B side

And she just lost a ton of weight on the Celebrity Fit Club! So she is ready to tour! ;)

Apparently she's singing the alternative version of WYLAW....WYLABurger, should be interesting

Oh my god... you know those annoying cats with the captions? One is a fat grey cat saying "I can has cheezburger?"
That's exactly what I thought of reading that. TOO good!

He has a rude awakening coming. He is accusing me of doctoring tapes to get Augeri fired. He should hear the voicemails from Neal that I have. He should also know SA has admitted to a small group of people that he did use tapes. Yet Rich won't believe it because Journey officially didn't say it.

Come off it Deano...I've never once suggested that you made up Tapegate - even though I have questioned your stance on Neal since then.

However, if they would have just told him that he wasn't right, and give a reason, I would be fine with that and so would Jeff. That's all he wants to know.

There, I said it.

Yes - that's the shittiest aspect of this whole thing, isn't it?

I don't buy this Matty simply because, if that were the case then,
Augeri never woulda got the job back in '98.

You look at his writing/recording credits pre-Journey
and stack them next to Jeff's and its blatantly obvious
who has a knack for writing Journey-esque tunes left and right.

I do portray both Schon and Cain as a two-headed, green-eyed monster
that has finally thrown in the towel and given up.
They have no fire left in them and have become lazy.

I was told by a very reliable source that Kalodner, upon finally seeing the Soto-fronted lineup, stated, "well you finally got yourselves a rock star."

Brian May, Kalodner, Jack Blades - these are some of the industry vets who were buzzing about Journey again thanks to Jeff.
Why would they want to throw this all away?

Pride...Perhaps they don't want to admit to the fans or themselves that they should have done something like that instead of bringing Augeri in.

I can see that...
Pride AND arrogance.
But it still doesn't make sense because of how Jeff's presence
had started to really bring the 'entire' fan base back around and that
couldn't be anything but a positive.
Just look at these forums...
Look how many long-time Loons had gotten excited about Journey again.
There were even long-time supporters of Augeri that
were egtting over his dismissal and becoming excited again...

I gotta agree with you on this on CH. I may be stretching here but the old lazy guys may have become very uncomfortable with signing with a major label, being locked into a three (or more) record deal at their ages not to mention the relentless touring that the label would undoubtedly require to support such albums. Just seems to me they wanted to do things their way on their schedule.

Yep.

For the most part its centered on the initial reaction from a few tracks. If they don't take off like wildfire a month before the album's release date, the project gets canned. Then if it does go well, that's when contracts are extended to a longer term.

I still don't understand. Neal said in more than one interview in the past he had NO desire to be a 'nostalgia' band, and if I remember correctly pretty much said he/Journey was done if that became the case. In walks Jeff, and from what I have heard in the past Neal was a workhorse as well. Now it doesn't seem like that is true either. Jeff gave him/them the PERFECT chance to not be a nostalgia act, but to move forward for once. They have said so many things in the past, and that is one reason to me none of this makes sense.

I think we're all going to have to learn that we can put no credence into anything they say. I don't even think they know what the truth is anymore.

That's why I don't believe it was Neal's idea at all, it was management.

You know how management works............."it's business not personal".

Yea, I know, that always bugged the shit out of me. Neal likes to talk the shit, but rarely ever follows thru with anything he says. It sure seems like he's letting the reigns go to Cain lately, too.... hmmmmm :?
