The *real* talent is in songwriting.

God u are clueless. Making it is's all about timing & Shawn just explained that to u but it went over ur head I guess. 2nd rate career? U do know he wrote music for the movies Rock Star & Rich Girl, right? Do u know he toured w/Yngwie Malmsteen in the 80s, & had success in Europe w/Axel Rudi Pell then w/Talisman for more than a decade. There's more to his career too. Just b/c u dont know & it wasnt in the US doesnt mean he hasnt had successes.

Jeff can't write songs? OMG. Where have u been? He is a FANTASTIC songwriter. There is something in his catalog for everyone from ballads to rockers to high energy to metal. YouTube has a TON. Here, I'll get u started. Report back to me b/c u WILL have fun. I'll see u on the JSS board after this, I bet :-):

Which part of 2nd rate don't you understand?

And, no, the last 3 Journey recordings were not loaded with good songs.... that's comical.

But what do you expect, they're missing one of the primary songwriting talents of their formidable years.

When Dean gets home he can delete those posts. Between that crap and the garbage Rich is spewing...... blog days are numbered, too many assholes crawl out just to hear themselves speak. The truth is getting told and that is the point of the blog, whether some choose to believe it is their choice. Seems the majority are appreciative of the time and effort taken to get the truth out there and that's what counts.

You know Carl, I just went and read what was being posted to you over on Dean's blog. I've never met you, but I'm pissed about the things that were said to you! I can only imagine how that makes you feel. Honestly, there are MANY of us who cannot thank you (and those who serve with you) enough for what you are willing to do! I don't care if some of my tax dollars are spent on you surfing the net for a few minutes while at work, as long as it brings you some joy! You certainly deserve it! The disrespect that is shown for our military sometimes really pisses me off!

But here's the rub...

I could care less what people think of me, whether it be as a member of the military
or as a shoe salesman. I have a job, just like everyone else, and I am no more
important than anyone else.

What bothers me is when people take something to the extreme and
that they would be willing to do something that could have an affect on someone's life in the real world...

It's a fucking message board or a blog or a forum.
Most of us know that half the things we say in here is said tongue-in-cheek and
most of us also know that, if together in the same room, we would all mostly get along, share a drink or 10
and laugh about all the buffoonery that goes on in these places.

When some people take things to the extreme and threaten real life reprocussions
then it takes the fun away and just makes you want to quit it all.

Do I post from work from time-to-time? Sure I do.
Could I get in alittle bit of trouble? Yea, probably, alittle...

I do know its someone that at least lurks here and I really
wish this person would have the guts to come at me 'in person',
whether it be an email, PM or right here in public.
You got an axe to grind, let's talk...

You're exactly right Carl! But you're always going to have at least one fucktard (yes, I've actually used that word in real life and giggled my ass off when I did  ) who has NO life beyond message boards and takes it to the extreme. Yes, some can take things to the extreme here too, but when you know the person you have a better feel for where it is coming from. We got your back Carl, know that. :D

TRIBUTE to JON and NEAL ~ Ask the Lonely!

Postby sad_Journey_girl » Tue Jun 19, 2007 3:58 pm

Written to the music of "Don't Stop Believin'"

Just a lonely Neal,
Acting as a real heel,
Taking the gravy train going nowhere

Jon is a pity boy,
Born and raised to be Neal’s toy,
He takes the money train going anywhere

They both stand in a smoky room,
Jon and Neal give us gloom and doom,
While smiling, they lip sync every night~
It goes on and on and on

CHORUS
Strangers waiting, who’s up next to bail them out,
Their shadows falling from our sight~
Firing people, living life without emotion
Gloating, hoarding the spotlight!

Working hard to fit the bill,
Neal and Jon have a thrill~
Paying anyone to sing for them
Just ONE LAST TIME

Sing with them, you will lose~
They were born to pick and choose~
Oh, the lying never ends…..
It goes on and on and on and on.

We stopped believin’
Can’t take all the deceivin’
Firing people

We stopped believin’
We have lost the feelin’
As you keep firing people!

Thanks, Jon and Neal; you really FUCKED UP this time!

I don't think it's unmemorable. I think he has one of the most powerful voices I have ever heard. Also he loses none of the clarity in his voice, all while he is moving allover the stage like a tasmanian devil :) . Some singers would be exhausted after half an hour of that or their clarity would be compromised...Blooming 'eck if it was me I think I'd last five minutes!! lol :D

Hey Girl.....WELCOME!

And thanx for putting a smile on my face....at 8:22 AM ET  :x

Since you're new here, I posted a song parody ~ which is now on page 3 ~ had to hunt it down.....things move VERY fast around here LOL

Anyhoo, here it is:

"Lame Reaction" (to the tune of "Chain Reaction")

I bet you, Neal's the one
'Cause now his, Band is DONE
Those changes
He puts you through
Down 3 Singers?
Oh Man, they're SCREWED!

I bet you, Frig likes to say
"Make phone calls? Not me; NO WAY!"
He's not sure
If the Band is done:
But, Steve Perry sang "Lights";
From Journey, he runs....

Lame reaction, to Singers with Passion
They won't surrender, or lose control

So now it's, not a mystery
Jeff Soto is
Their latest casualty
They mumble, "You'll take the fall
Just like the last time
But, maybe we'll call..."

In motion, it's on its way
Neal wants The Spotlight;
Somebody's got to pay!!
Those changes
He puts you through
Down 3 Singers?
Oh Man, they're SCREWED!

Lame reaction, to Singers with Passion
They won't surrender, or lose control

Lame reaction, to Singers with Passion
Jon's "The Friga"
And Neal's "The Fro"

So now just where will they go?
Tell me where

Down down
down down down down down down down down down
DOWN!!
DOWN!!

DOWN!!!!!

Lame reaction, to Singers with Passion
They won't surrender, or lose control

Lame reaction, to Singers with Passion
Jon's "The Friga"
And Neal's "The Fro"
