God u are clueless. Making it is's all about timing & Shawn just explained that to u but it went over ur head I guess. 2nd rate career? U do know he wrote music for the movies Rock Star & Rich Girl, right? Do u know he toured w/Yngwie Malmsteen in the 80s, & had success in Europe w/Axel Rudi Pell then w/Talisman for more than a decade. There's more to his career too. Just b/c u dont know & it wasnt in the US doesnt mean he hasnt had successes.

Jeff can't write songs? OMG. Where have u been? He is a FANTASTIC songwriter. There is something in his catalog for everyone from ballads to rockers to high energy to metal. YouTube has a TON. "Make it"? The man makes a very, very good living singing & writing. Just because he's not on Billboard's Hot 100 doesn't mean he's not a successful, working musician.

If all it took was songwriting, Journey's last 3 recordings would be platinum sellers because they are loaded with good songs...

When Dean gets home he can delete those posts. Between that crap and the garbage Rich is spewing...... blog days are numbered, too many assholes crawl out just to hear themselves speak.
