Richie out of rehab

Postby Angiekay » Sat Jun 16, 2007 12:32 am

Richie Sambora has left a Los Angeles treatment facility after a weeklong stay. A rep for Bon Jovi told People magazine that the guitarist completed a program at the UCLA Medical Center, and is doing well. Although the specific nature of his problem was not disclosed, Sambora checked into the facility a day after reports surfaced that Sambora was visibly intoxicated during Bon Jovi's recent taping of MTV Unplugged.

Friends claim the rocker's personal difficulties are to blame for his behavior. He recently split with longtime girlfriend Denise Richards, which followed his divorce from actress Heather Locklear. His father also died recently.

Sambora is expected to join Bon Jovi at all supporting appearances following the release of the band's new album Lost Highway on June 19th.
They are slated to perform on the The View on June 20th and have a scheduled appearance on the Today Show.
A light touring schedule is being set up, beginning June 24th in London.

That can work if that handler guy's there literally 25 hours a day.

Saw the performance this morning on the Today Show, thought they sounded great. Richie looked good and seemed to be in good spirits.

I saw them on the Today show, the sound was not out of keeping for the show. Upon talking about his rehab, Richie says he "detoxed" but is "still in therapy" but made a point to blame his difficulties on a "tough year" and his "father dying".

He looked really, really puffy and bloated, so I imagine he's on some heavy anti-depressants. They put on a brave face, but Richie's got some issues.
