Man, they are in the weeds , man. And not the smoking kind either....

What amount of say do you think Deen would have in that decision?

I can't imagine they would fire Deen's tech without giving Deen the heave-ho also. Then again, I have no experience at the inner workings of a rock band.

If manglement wants him gone, he's toast.
Hell..... JT or Rocko could fire him and Deen would be SOL.
So, that would be 0%

Holy crap. This is some scary business, huh? Have you ever witnessed THIS amount of turmoil in a band before?

Gets weirder and weirder doesn't it?

Jeff's "wrong" X 3 post certainly suggests that he thinks tribute singers are in the offing. Could all of this be nothing more than one big-ass labor cost-reduction/cost-shifting plan?

If so, that makes sense to hire a tribute band singer. They'd certainly be able to get away with paying him less than a known commodity like Jeff.

.....oh.......and.......
For the record.........if you're hear looking for ANYTHING Journey, feel free to stop looking. I'm not Jeff Scott Soto, but they aren't speaking to me, or returning my phone calls either........or paying me for things they owe me for. So, I'm not an employee there anymore (I'm sure), and they'll be hearing from my lawyer about paying their bills.

http://drumplanet.livejournal.com/

I've met Jim many times. He is a sweetheart. This is just sickening

WTF?????

OMG... they've lost it. Beyond lost it. Future bands should take note how to destroy your legacy in one fell swoop... GEZUS KRIST!.

Not since the Dokken / Lynch feud of 1983

THAT would be an interesting story considering those two have never gotten along very well. I think I remember a quote from either Lynch or Dokken (can't remember which) about some video tapes of some goings on that happened on their tour bus. The quote was something to the effect of "May those tapes never surface".

Thanks again. I was curious if this just SEEMED so odd because of lack of knowledge of the business, or if this is truly as messed up as it seems. Now I know. It's what I figured anyway.
