Do you seriously consider O'Reilly a REPUBLICAN talking head? I think the guy pisses off conservatives almost as much as he does liberals, especially since it seems like lately he's been taking some anti-free speach stances. I can't tell you the number of conservatives who consider the guy to be more of a centrist Democrat than a Republican.
Thing is, I don't necessarily think Repulican is synonymous with Conservative or Democrat is synonymous with Liberal. If I were still a Republican I would be an extremely liberal one, and I'm an extremely conservative Democrat. If Liberal and Conservative are now going to be the words that describe our two parties, why not drop the Rep and Dem misnomers? Then the third party could represent the sane people.
If you go back and study the political history of this country, the two parties have all but switched basic philosophies over the years anyway. The party names are nothing more that titles on a ballot that represent the controlling interests and those interests aren't the working people of this country.
