Hello everyone. This is Steve Perry. As you are aware I have yet to launch my own web site and Fan Asylum is still the only credible site for official statements from me. Once again they have kindly allowed me to post this statement. It has been brought to my attention that there is a rumor circulating that I am reuniting with Journey. I want to go on record as saying that I have no such plans whatsoever to do that. What you have heard is only a rumor. I’m truly sorry for any disappointment this rumor may be causing.

I also would like to say that your faithfulness continues to warm my heart.

Thank you so very much,

Steve Perry

Don't doubt the wombat.
I am glad it's put to rest..and I am actually very happy with what Journey has become that he wouldn't. I just figured if he wasn't going to do it before, why in the hell would he join them now.
Word does get around, doesn't it.

Nomatter how many times he says that, I still hate seeing it in print. It seems so damn final! At least he came out and said something to the fans, unlike Frig and Fro.

That's the beauty of it, isn't it. We get to still hear whatever Steve and Jeff are going to do, on THEIR terms.

I believe some of this was on his own. Not that I believe that he sits around reading this stuff, but word IS getting around and he wanted to put this part of it to rest for many obvious reasons.

I'll admit, did not want to hear the truth

Prefer the riding in on a white horse scenario

they never pulled it off, even when it was in their faces, a gift, no work required

sad

Finally, something valid beyond speculation and unnamed sources. Steve shows once again what a class act he is.

Isn't that the truth, no hanging on and letting the fans linger with hope. Just put the info out there and let us go on with our lives.

What's sad is that Steve had to stop petting his kitties long enough to even make the statement that some of us have been saying all along.

More than clearing it up, it brought to light the question that some people will run (for much too long) with, about when Steve will launch his own website. I'm sure he has the rights and the domain name secured. He's not a stupid person, by any stretch of the imagination.
Without ego, we have no pride in what we are saying.

Yeah, but when he was in the same situation back after TBF, Perry did not say ANYTHING. The rumor was that he went off to the mountains, found God, and joined Tesla (seriously)...or that he was kidnapped by aliens.

At least Cain made a statement...no matter how much you hate it, or him. Perry did not even do that for a VERY long time.

Christ,
I emailed him my youtube video, my singing must not have pulled at his heart strings.

As far as the statement, it didn't say never.

It would just take cain and schon approaching with a bonafide offer.

Of course he has no plans, because nobody has approached him.

TO SAY it is over? Hell that would be like saying the cubs will never win a world series !!
