"Behind the Music" Perry comment..rethink?

I still don't get Perry's comment. Even Herbie, who knows the inner workings of the band and these guy's personalities, thought the comment was ridiculous.

And, Herbie also said Perry had to give his final OK for the BTM...and even had the promo axed of Herbie's rebuttal of this very comment, "Yeah, and the Pope isn't Catholic." And, Jonathan said that he always knew Perry felt this way, but he never thought he would say it and was suprised when he heard it on the BTM.

Perry said he NEVER felt like part of the band...not "In the first few years, I didn't feel like part of the band." Or, "I did not feel like part of the band until I was able to produce an album and fire Smith and Valory."

Which part is incorrect? Ok, I'll give you Smith/Valory thing...I was being a bit sarcastic there. Are you saying Herbie and Jonathan did not say those things, or that Perry said something else?

How about the FACT that nobody even knew it was Perry's hip that was the issue until Neal and Jonathan were interviewed by Andrew? Perry made no comment on it AT ALL until later.

You all condemn Augeri for not commenting on his voice. You condemn Neal and Jonathan for not talking about the latest scandal. Are you going to condemn Perry for doing EXACTLY THE SAME THING?

Amid all the speculation only Herbie's brilliant Castles Burning McCarthy interview comes through as the shining truth. Oh what were some of prophetic gems that came from Herbie?

It wouldn't surprise me if each one of these guys ended up with a beggar's pencil cup in their hands or something like that.

The sad truth is the fans believe the guys are actually better people than they really are or something like that.

Every decision Neal made on his own was a bad and funky one.

These guys have infinite creative ability but they are just so impaired.

Damned if I go wasting my life on a bunch of losers.

I believe that Herbie told the truth and the band including Perry were a bunch of jerks and got what they deserved think karma, but regardless of how rude they were, they made some of the greatest music ever and I will always be a fan supporting whatever new music they put out.
