i watched a few solo era perry clips on youtube last night.i remember in 94 when he come out with strange medicine thinking that since his first solo effort come out in 84 then his second one came out in 94 that his third one might arrive in 04.i'd very much love to see at least a new solo album from him.

I have every intention of still listening to all the Journey music I have. It's not like I have to buy it again and they're not getting any money out my playing it. In what way is it going to matter to them? Image I'd only be depriving myself of the music I love. Sounds a little like cutting of thy nose to spite thy face to me. Image

Agreed. I enjoy the music and likely always will, in spite of (and not because of) the band members and assorted melodrama. But for me to be excited, the band has to be a growing, evolving, living entity -- and that means not closing the door to creating new music -- especially if they begin to resemble a caricature of themselves. Once they do that ..... *yawn*.

I think caricatures are exactly what they were with Augeri. I saw JSS as their chance at creative redemption. I'm hoping for the best now for Jeremey's sake.
