But St John, at least Jeff was a real musician/writer and could hold a crowd. He just wasn't a Perry sound alike,but could actually sing. I like his Queen songs,too. BYW I am a bigtime Perry fan, so he had a huge job to do to interest me.

I REALLY like Soul Sirkus. I've listened to JSS' solo stuff (great shit), and he SHINES on the Rock Star ST, but he didn't cut it on the Journey gig.

He's a GREAT singer, but far from "the best ever for the band".

If I was Neal or Frig, I would've called Chalfant first, THEN Augeri and THEN exploit Deen 'til he blew up a la Dickinson on Live After Death.
