the jss forum bud,,

I LIKE Euros. Without Euros, there'd be NO Beatles and I KNOW Deano loves them. BEATLES
mop the floor with Journey. I don't care what anybody says. NOBODY wrote songs like that.
The Beatles would use Journey albums as their toilet paper! There's also be no Oasis, and I dig those
fuckers too.

Sorry, no gig tonight and I'm into my second home cooked tall white russian! Holy God!!!
I can actually make them bigger at home then at the bars! Yabba dabba freakin' dooo!!!
You're seeing a side of me that rarely is seen! I might even not proofread my spelling!!

And yeah, Deano pisses me off sometimes. I was SO angry about his beating up on Augeri...
But ya know, he's a cool fucker and without him, this forum would be about as exciting as
bon jovi's "this left feels right" (that means it'd suck for those that didn't get that reference.)

For the haagen Daas, elephant-assed Btalkers to come in here, swinging their sacks of fat all over Dean is
as disgusting as the shit their favorite band pulled (holy shit, drinks are hitting me now..., but I'm usually a happy drunk...???)

I just don't understand why the Btalkers want to live in ignorance and whiz all over the guy that has totally exposed their
heros for the SHITBAGS that they are. Neal, Jon- Yer Shitbags.

I pray to God that Augeri has the last laugh over Journey and does well with his solo stuff. Yeah, I know it won't
happen. For Jss, he's gonna do well. ANYBODY with Brian May on their side is fuckin' A oh fuckin' K in my book.
Brian's awesome- by the way, check out his Back to the Light album, it's amazing.

Um, I've forgotten the topic...

Please don't go, Deano!! I haven't been posting on here for very long, but I was a lurker for a good while, and you're probably the only person in this whole forum who can provoke anger and laughter in one post. We need your twisted psyche  on here, and besides that, we love you!! I hope you reconsider!

Know how you feel ,Dean. Don't see much need to be posting here anymore myself. You have my number so use it and keep in touch. If you make it back to Florida you have a place to crash. We can go over to The Beach Club, get drunk and harass Gary when he's playing. You know I wish you, Lula, and family only the best. Take care, bro! 8)

Fuck The Beatles! I never got the whole Beatle thing! I was much more of an Elvis fan as a kid and admired his talent FAR more! Lennon had some great solo stuff, but The Beatles shit just didn't work for me. In fact, every time I hear old Beatles music, I'm reminded that they were the original "boy band". I mean..."I want to hold your hand" and "Can't buy me love" ....Are you serious???? I'll NEVER understand how some people consider that to be classic music!

Agreed! I have no idea what anyone saw in that music. It was absolutely annoying.

John f Boston- Elvis was OK.He was original and his movies were cute. He sure livened things up on the Ed Sullivan show. Before Elvis music was Patti Page, Perry Como ,Sinatra etc. It was my mom's music. In the early 60's we had the Everly Brothers. Paul Anka, Bobby Rydell, 4 Seasons,Frankie Avalon Conway Twitty,Roy Orbison ,so it was more lively than the Platters etc. I was in high school when when the Beatles hit-I think it was '64. My mom didn't like them and I told her "mom symphonies will play their music". I think it was in '69 the Boston Pops was playing Yesterday and Michelle. Now, the70's and 1970 Sir Elton, Rolling Stones, Led Zep Aerosmith, a young Journey, Foreigner and Styx, Queen. We are lucky that from the 80's till now ,many are still around.

Elvis. Great singer. NEVER WROTE A FUCKIN SONG IN HIS LIFE.
Beatles played. Beatles wrote. Beatles Sang. They did it all. Elvis sang great early rock and roll. Sang great gospel.
Then made shitty movies and music the rest of his career and was Col. Parker's puppet. By 1960, he was done.
"Boy Band" means a band put together by a manager and sold to the world on image. The Beatles played every
friggin club in Britain and those in Germany and worked their asses off. Boy Bands never did that. The reaction to
them (screams, etc.) can't be blamed on them. THEY were the band that inspired 90% of the musicians that form
every classic rock band.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Ah. Good point. Suspicious Minds, great song. In the Ghetto was lame as was Moody Blue and Burning Love.
NONE OF THEM DID HE WRITE.

The Beatles had more hits than anybody. At one time, they had the top 5 in the top ten countdown.
All of the Beatles hits, THEY WROTE. Elvis didn't write anything. Barely played guitar and used
it as a prop for the most part. Elvis was a great SINGER and performer (when he was young).
But he didn't write any of his hits.

Ah, but the real question is - who's going to step in to be the next 'deano'?
Who feels the need to fill the shoes?
Will this place really go belly-up without him?
Will this place go through a power struggle with all the 'deano' wannabes?
Will this forum survive without a "king bully potty-mouth"?

And maybe better yet, how will Journey survive without someone constantly telling them how wrong they are?

Does anyone really care?
...didn't think so.

You're going to have a rough time here posting this kind of shit.

Redundant.

Wrong, you are probably the only one that doesn't care. I care a great deal. Deano brings a lot to this board. More than you ever will.

Dean, I hope you don't leave. When you're happy and on a roll, there is nobody more fun than you. Some of your posts last year gave me some much needed laughs and I thank you for that. It is heartbreaking to see you give up on Journey. I wish you would rethink it--you are (or were) a fan's fan. This fan anyway. I hope this is making sense. Anyway, without sounding too corny, I wish you could find it in your heart to forgive them of hurting your friend. Maybe they have regrets now about how it was handled. Okay, you have my support for whatever you decide to do...

The fact that Elvis didn't write his own music really doesn't mean much, as far as his impact on the world of music. His influence was EVERY bit as important as The Beatles, and that was without writing his own music, which incidentally, many artists don't write their own songs! I personally can't stand The Beatles, and never really "got them". That said, I certainly don't need you or anyone else to educate me on how The Beatles influenced other artists! It still doesn't change the fact that much of their music was about nothing, for me! As for Elvis being "done" by 1960...you should probably check your facts, as what you're saying is simply not accurate. Elvis had MANY hits throughout the 1970's. You may not have cared for those hits (For the record, "In The Ghetto" was a great tune), but it doesn't change the fact that he had many of them! I thought many of The Beatles hits sucked, but it doesn't change the fact that they were hits or the impact of The Beatles on the world of music. In fact, even though I've never been a fan...I've always believed that The Beatles and Elvis will forever be the two most significant acts in the history of music!

I thought I was the only person in the whole world who didn't "get" either The Beatles or Elvis.
I take comfort in knowing I am not alone.

But I do acknowledge their influence, of course.

Wow. Been all over all the Journey boards for 10+ yrs now, and this is the first time I've ever been called a troll.
I guess that's a slam. Not sure. But I guess it's also better to have some sort of notorioty than be completely unknown.
I think I'm going to take this as a pseudo-quasi-compliment, although by popular definition of 'troll', I'm certainly not.

I am nobody. I guarantee that. I don't know anyone out here and no one knows me. I like it that way.
But thanks for the reply. Looks like you put considerable effort into it. You have my applause.
