dream of a lifetime I am sure!! Like someone else said, most of us would jump at the chance to sing for Journey--- I just know I would not want to sign any document from these guys, however....

I'm not much into the conspiracy theory method of thinking, but...I would say the fact that there have been numerous rumors that he is the next guy in line, and the fact that he has said nothing on this board (where he has been a frequent contributor) probably takes any guessing out of the equation! Incidentally, I wouldn't expect Jeremey to come onto MR to discuss his potential of becoming Journey's next frontman, because he doesn't strike me as the type who would do that in this public forum. I just think the fact that he hasn't posted ANYTHING is quite telling! I'm sure once the "official statement" from Journey is released, Jeremey will pop back in here to say hello to some old friends. Until such time, the speculation continues. I think at this point, we are 100% sure that it isn't going to be Perry or Augeri, and are every bit as sure that the next in line will be a Perry sound-alike. I think Cain made it VERY clear what they're looking for!

The reason Jeremey hasnt been on here,is cause there was too much drama going on since June 12th and he is waitin for the dust to settle,, but I doubt it if Jeremey will be allowed to pop in here and say hello to us.

I'm going to get blasted but IF Jeremey gets it I hope he gets it NOT because he can do an SP IMPRESSION but because he can SING.

I don't know that I've ever heard him sing. I've heard him do impressions of SP and I've heard his version of Unchained Melody and they seem to me to be two completely different voices. Which one is his?

I don't care if I sound like a broken record on this subject but anyone can do an IMPRESSION of SP. I don't want to hear impressions. I want to hear an ORIGINAL voice. Is it cool to have SP inflections? Absolutely. SP had Sam Cooke and Marty Balin inflections BUT he was ultimately his own voice. There's a big difference between singing with inflections and doing an impression.

Really???? Anyone can do an impression of Perry???? That might be one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever seen made! As I've said before...Suggesting anyone under the sun can sound like anyone whom they feel like sounding like is beyond ABSURD and simply NOT FACTUAL! I can tell you this...I certainly can't do an impression of Perry's singing voice, and I would imagine there aren't many here who could (at least well)!

Sometimes there's no such difference between impression and emulation. When you hire an admitted (on his own booking information website) impressionist, then people will label you as such. It hurts some to hear people not happy that Jer is up for it, though many suspect and confirm (from what source, I dunno) that he's already in and was in before this official "audition".

For those who want to stay with the BOYS, that's cool, but many of us are not willing to keep supporting it. (although a lot of people have switched back and forth between saying hell no I hate them, to I'd see them with Jeremey at the helm) People need to realize that part too.
