DO YOU ALL REALIZE????

Postby yogi » Tue Jun 26, 2007 6:28 am

Do you all realize that there was a reason that Steve Perry and Steve Perry ALONE was the VOICE of Journey on the albums Infinity - Trial By Fire.

Do you all realize that Journey pretty much sucked before Steve Perry, and they have pretty much sucked after Steve Perry left. ( Although they copy well at times)

Do you all realize that if Journey now sold 10,212 seats to a show in California then you added all the diehards from here and BT the attendence might reach 10,400.

Do you all realize that if two stages were two miles apart at the same location and Steve Perry and his Journey Session Band was playing on Stage 1 and Neal, Jonathan, Ross and the Boyz were playing Stage 2 at the same time It would be a safe bet 90% of a Journey loving auidence would be packed into the Stage 1 area.

Do you all realize that 95% of music lovers could give a rats ass who is playing Guitar or Keyboards.

The guitar is for show, The voice for dough!!!!!

Sorry but wrong
if you want GOOD music, it all has to come together as a BAND......
you could have the best singer in the world, but if you dont have the band to back him/her up, youre wastin your time.
Same thing goes for any instrument,,,,,

also,, there are MANY great songs that are instrumentals :)

I am not adding to shit.

All I am saying is NONE of us really matter in the anals of Journey.

They were a once MIGHTY band led by Steve Perry.

Once the LEADER left, they pretty much suck.

Neal and his possee are making a good living doing their chosen trade.

Its their JOB plain and simple. They dont give a shit what we think. And they shouldnt. Because its a JOB.

The thing is with their best employee gone, they are not near as good at their job as they once were.

HOWEVER, it is not the anals (buttholes) of Journey

it is the annals of Journey

If that were the CASE PERRY WOULD STILL BE SINGING and his love of strang medicine tour would have filled stadiums back in the day, but instead he played smaller venues!! For journey it was all five of em that made it work... get over yourself.. If your thought is correct, then why do people love Sammy, Eddie, Ritchie, Carlos, Tommy, Brian, Eric, Paul, Lennon Page--etc...

There will be three of us there, and as annoying as this post of Yogi's may be to some here, the bigger crowd would in fact be with us.

All of those people who go to Journey concerts with no idea Steve Perry isn't singing will know it then for sure.

Uhm, ya know, I can honestly say that even as much as I love this band (all members), I NEVER want to be in their 'anals'.
Maybe that's your gig...I don't know. But I'm very sure it's not mine.

Lol, I have to agree. I love Come Sail Away. But other than that one, ALL of the best Styx songs were sung by Tommy, imo. TMTOMH and FY are two of my favorite songs, period. And Tommy still sounded great when I saw them a few years ago.

Yes for what he does JY CAN sing. Off of Cyclorama These Are The Times was EXCEPTIONAL. When Miss America first came out I loved it. Midnight Ride was GREAT. Half Penny/ Two Penny Fantastic!!!, Great White Hope....... He is ALWAYS good for one or two good songs per album.

As for Dennis - AWESOME!!!!! Come Sail Away, Lady, The Best Of Times, Suite Madame Blue, Queen Of Spades,Born For Adventure, Borrowed Time, The Grand Illusion, Show Me The Way.....................

Tommy- Again Awesome- Renegade, Blue Collar Man, Crystal Ball, Fooling Yourself, Too Much Time On My Hands, One With Everything.........

This band ( Styx) spread the vocal wealth.

As for Journey it was a ONE man vocal team...................................... STEVE PERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
