Look at Kansas, Walsh's voice is toast, and they still tour. Look at the prices for Police tickets. Look at the prices for Genesis tickets( and I know i tried to buy one - $227 for FACE VALUE)
I know SP doesn't want it, but if it was only about money to them, you'd think they would at least try to get their meal ticket back in the fold....
just my .02.

why would they do that, when a good percentage of the concert goers can't tell that the original had been replaced anyways?
why not get a much cheaper replacement, and still reap in the money?
that's just how i think they're thinking.

I think Lora said it very well about a week or so ago: some people have integrity.

Excellent point.

Wrong.....Sports is a way different animal than music. I think you guys just like to be contrarian about ANYTHING, and EVERYTHING...![]()
Just as an aside. I think THE biggest travesty in football is the thought that the 80s 49ers were great. They weren't. They just played in probably THE worst division in the history of the NFL....must have been nice to start a season already 8-0.

And if that's the case, then they need to get him back.

Schon and Cain are basically admitting to the world that they can't envision a band creatively without Steve Perry. They should pack it in or move out of his shadow. I have respect for them as musicians but zero support for the direction (backwards) they are taking this band.

Whoever they get to sing, if they release new material, and it sounds great, then who gives a shit who it is or where they came from? Of course they want someone who can sound close to Perry's voice. Fans come to the shows expecting to hear the band sound like their records. But they should have kept JSS cuz he can do it all.

Quite the contrary.....they are irrelevant now. Plain and simple. Unless the reunion tour happens( I don't even care if they record anymore), they will fall to obscurity....If they hire ANYBODY else, including Jeremey, they are done.
They have lost TOO much credibility amoung folks here....UNLESS people are just bumping gums.

You know what? I don't think there would be a big difference in ticket sales if Perry rejoined. They sure wouldn't sound like you remember, either. Unless they used tapes.

And I suppose VH wouldn't start selling better if they hired the EMT, either......
